McFadden

I've got him paired up with Ray Rice. Usually I avoid players with injury histories like him, and I used my entire two minutes in round two deciding between him(Upside but injury prone) and Forte(safe pick) and took the chance on McFadden. I'm smiling as long as he keeps playing every Sunday.

You might be, but there's a couple of us out here on the East coast that might disagree.

Your friends,

LeSean McCoy and Ray Rice

it's pretty damned close, and right now, he's the best RB, hell player, in FFB (a trend that carried-over from the last 6 games of last year)

with standard scoring & .5 PPR (i.e. my leagues)

McFadden: 75.2 pts (393 rushing, 84 receiving, 11 catches, 4 TDs, 1 FUM lost)

Shady: 73.9 pts (345 rushing, 49 receiving, 9 catches, 5 TDs)

R.Rice: 65.7 (229 rushing, 178 receiving, 14 catches, 3 TDs)

add to the fact that McFadden DIDN'T get 2 inside-the-5 opportunities @ Denver (Reece 3-yd pass, Campbell 1-yd run), 2 more inside-the-5 opportunities @ Buffalo (M.Bush 1-yd run, Campbell 1-yd run), and finally losing another 1-yd TD run to Bush vs. the Jets, and you have, IMO, the clear-cut #1 player in FFB

Take a wild guess how many inside-the-5 opportunities McCoy has lost to Reid pass-happy ways, Vick's QB rushes, and the dreaded fullback draw (which we saw twice yesterday)?

I'll give ya a hint...its more than McFadden's five lost looks. Hell, he lost 3 yesterday when it was 1st-and goal from the 3-yard line.

I definitely don't watch many Eagles games, but that fullback nonsense is NOT the norm, I know that. Vick, yes, he's going to steal some, but still not as many as McFadden loses, sorry amigo.

Besides, I said it was close. Be happy with the 2nd-best FFB RB

Just wishful thinking......I picked Frank Gore at 3.3 with McFadden still available

Plus I have Michael Bush

see, now ya made me go look to see if it was indeed more than five:

Game 1 vs St. Louis:

1-4-STL4 (6:14) Direct snap to R.Brown. R.Brown up the middle to SL 6 for -2 yards (J.King).

Game 2 vs Atlanta:

1-4-ATL4 (11:37) R.Brown right tackle to ATL 5 for -1 yards (R.Edwards).

2-5-ATL5 (11:00) M.Vick pass short right to J.Maclin for 5 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

3-1-ATL3 (6:58) M.Vick pass incomplete short left to B.Celek (C.Lofton).

1-4-ATL4 (2:10) M.Vick left guard to ATL 9 for -5 yards (P.Jerry). FUMBLES (P.Jerry), RECOVERED by ATL-R.Edwards at ATL 12. R.Edwards to PHI 24 for 64 yards (D.Jackson).

Game 3 vs New York:

1-2-NYG2 (3:23) O.Schmitt up the middle to NYG 1 for 1 yard (J.Pierre-Paul).

2-1-NYG1 (2:40) M.Vick up the middle to NYG 1 for no gain. PENALTY on NYG-D.Grant, Defensive Offside, 0 yards, enforced at NYG 1 - No Play.

2-1-NYG1 (2:33) M.Vick up the middle to NYG 1 for no gain (C.Canty).

3-1-NYG1 (1:42) O.Schmitt up the middle to NYG 2 for -1 yards (L.Joseph; M.Boley). PHI-M.Vick was injured during the play. His return is Questionable.

So I got 9 McCoy lost touches to your 5 for McFadden? sorry amigo, your point is moot about who loses touches inside the 5-yard line.

like I said, I think the FOUR touches he lost on the same set of downs yesterday is a complete aberration. Owen Schmitt? really? guy's a non-factor

the rest thus becomes a wash IMO, and moving forward is worse for McFadden because he almost ALWAYS loses the inside-the-5 carries to Bush.

You're right. I'm a McCoy owner and I was screaming at the TV. Can't see that happening again, I just know that they are screaming in Philly about that too, the fans, the media, everybody.

not on that series he wasn't...and more to your point, had McCoy gotten any of the carries from the 1 yard line (2 went to Vick, 1 to Schmitt) and scored, he'd be the top RB right now. But even if we throw out those four downs, its still 5-5 in regard to lost touches (two to Brown, three to Vick rushes/passes).

I'm not sure who is the best RB is....and I love McFadden, as I have him on multiple teams. I'm just pointing out that while everyone thinks that Mcfadden loses more touches than most inside the 5-yard line since he's not the short-yardage RB, its not anymore than McCoy....that part of your argument is moot.

Give me either one, I'm a happy owner...can't go wrong. I'd take either over Ray-Ray, that's for sure. But you know, gun to my head, give me LeSean.

Swammi... just to be irritating... I realize you point out that DMC only missed out on "5 chances" when he actually missed out on 5 scores, you posted on everyplay that could have gone to Mccoy.

Splitting hairs difference but those of us that lost week one when DMC runs 40+yds to the 1... and to let another friggin Rb punch it in so we lose by 4pts becasue friggin Brady goes for 500 yds.... ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!! Breathe 1,2,3... Breathe 4,5,6 Breathe 7,8,9... ok better now.

I think he could be the first pick in most fantasy drafts next year, or at least top 3

that's if he stays healthy for at least 13 games....and that would be missing 2 or 3 games in the middle by not screwing owners over during FF playoffs....

if he can play all 16 games, I would say he's the 1st overall pick in 2012 fantasy drafts....

I'm with you....and he did it again yesterday when he took a carry 10 yards to the 1 at the end of the 3rd quarter, and Bush then bulled it in. I completely get that he's not the true short-yardage RB. But on the flip side, notice that he got a 2-yard rushing TD yesterday. Seemed, at least yesterday, that Bush was only in when they needed a yard. Now, how many times will that happen the rest of the year? maybe another 4-5?

I was only pointing out that inside the 5, McCoy is subject to Andy Reid's odd playcalling and to Vick's athleticism....McFadden seems only limited when the ball is on the one-yard line. When you add up lost chances for each, the difference is negligible, and shouldn't be a factor when determining which is the more productive RB.

Fair assessment... My therapist said by venting my FF frustrations on-line, it may help me get to a break through...
