Is it time to ring the bell on Big Ben?

After 3 weeks Big Ben already has 4 picks and 4 fumbles. He is absolutely killing me. I realize he is not a top tier QB but he is not even in the top half after 3 weeks. With the receivers he has the potential is certainly there, but the line is getting blown up and he is just making poor decision. Is it time to move on?

What says you?

I think it depends on the alternatives. I don't think you will see huge separation by the end of the year in fantasy production from the likes of Grossman & Fitz, I think Ben will elevate, and those two will slightly decline, and they meet somewhere in the middle. I sure wouldn't drop him for Freeman, Orton, Kolb, Sanchez, Hasselbeck, or the like, or even Flacco or Ryan.

I'd probably agree with all except Flacco. His schedule is rather attractive.

Week 4 - Jets

Week 5 - Texans

Week 6 - Jaguars

Week 7 - Cardinals

Week 8 - Steelers

Week 9 - Seahawks

Week 10 - Bengals

Week 11 - 49er's

Week 12 - Browns

Week 13 - Colts

Week 14 - Chargers

Week 15 - Browns

Week 16 - Bengals

The Steelers offensive line which was already a weakness had 3 go out with injury Sunday night. Yes, you are justified in being very concerned about Ben going forward.

Just bought dirt low on Big Ben. Dude will be fine. He's a proven winner and the silly turnovers will eventually stop. The main reason I'm not worried about him is because his yardage is fine these 3 weeks (280, 298, 364) and his INT's aren't as bad as people think (3,0,1). The first game was not what the Steelers are like at all, so I would discount the 3 picks but besides that first game he has been fine IMO. Just needs to throw some TD's, which with Mike Wallace and Sanders and Brown and Heath will happen.

I saw the game vs Colts and thought Ben would throw a few more TD's since the running game was going no where. The consensus of things I had read was that the running game would take over and Ben would do little. Fantasy wise even with out the running game he didn't do a lot compared to other QB's of his projected caliber around the league. I am seriously considering shopping him as the WW is depleted I foolishly thought that by week 11 a QB would emerge that I could pick up for a bye. All my players did poorly this week. I am hoping after next week I will be able to shop him, or use another player to upgrade at QB. I think he will do just enough to win and won't be a big fantasy producer.
