Goopster24
Know a lot of people drafted him high, some using him as their WR1. I have him as my number 2 but I'm worried about the two bad games he's had so far. Good matchup this week though. But now Gates out, defenses have shown they can shut VJax out. People confident in him for the rest of the season? Consistent enough or would you sell high?
Outshined
I think he will get the ball more. Last year with Gates out, Jackson had a 3td game. The Vikings shut him down with Gates in the game. With the running game working too, that will help his stats too. He is a must start everyweek...he is on my team. Trojanmojo
Gates is going to out so much this year that VJAX should light it up. Floyd is dinged up too. I would stick with him.

I think he's a top 10-12 WR, but I don't think Gates being out will help him, or get him more targets. I think the additional targets go to Mathews/Tolbert. I also think Jackson sees a lot more attention in the secondary, but hes still a stud.
Hugh 0ne
I own him. I wouldn't trade him for another WR in the league.

I agree..they dont have to worry about Gates and double Jackson. I was thinking more along the lines of 1st looks. If Defenses shutdown Jackson, than Tolbert/Mathews will get some of the targets. Maybe its Tolberts numbers that will increase. He burned the Vikings for 3 tds...I am going to ride it out. Like you saidm he will be decent, but not top 5. MTSuper7
Rivers' health makes me a little concerned, as apparently he has some sort of injury to his sternum. I wonder if it affects his ability to throw deep, which would hurt VJax. Still, I think VJax will be fine in the long run as long as Rivers is on his game which he usually is. 561427
Ill dunno... I think ill start him as my WR3 after trading for him today!  Roddy White, Hakeem Nicks, and VJax... hrmmm we will see how it works out.  He will be fine. you cant sit him because not many other people have the upside he has. PPIchamp
I have the same 3 WR's 561427, heh. Drafted Jackson. Traded Harvin and R Bush for Nicks preseason. Got Roddy last week in a 7 player deal.  I'm not worried about Jackson, it's still early guys. Patience is one of the hardest traits to aquire in FF. CurlyDumps
Traded Harvin and R Bush for Nicks preseason.  Did you wear a ski mask when you pulled off that trade? Nicely done... ..
MnLefty
Starting to think he's going to be a rich man's Lee Evans this year. Rivers doesn't force the ball to him, he'll take the TE or RB if they are doubling VJax... but there will be more weeks just like the Patriots where the opposing D can't cover him and he goes off. I say rich man's Lee Evans because I look at last week as the floor... he's going to get something every week, not disappear like Evans would. But when it's on, it's on and he can win a fantasy matchup by himself, and he will multiple times this year. For a fantasy squad ideally he's best suited as probably the best WR2 you could have given the breakout ability... not the best WR1, as even if he puts up #1 numbers there's going to be bigger gap between high and low rather than the consistency you hope for from a #1. Paired with guys like AJ, CJ, Roddy White, Fitz he's money and like I said will win some weeks by himself.
CrimsonGhost
Vjax is not a number 2 wr. He is a top tier talent on a pass happy team. His floor is last week 5 catches on 8 targets (team high) for 63. The same floor you get with all other top tier wr. Last week was brutal as Rivers threw 2 picks no Tds 266 yards. Â As for week 1 vs the Vikings Vjax had a 40 yard td that was overthrown (probably due to week 1). Vjax was a cheaper version of any other top WR with equal production. SecondString
I wouldn't sell him. I would keep him in that WR2 slot and take that advantage on my opponent every weekend with a smile.
Chargerz
VJax is a stud and should be started every week. If you trade him make sure you get a stud in return.

boltnlava
VJax injured? Homers, what's the status here?  1st I've heard of this. FWIW-   http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playe...vincent-jackson  Abdominal - Did not practice. Questionable for Week 4 vs. Miami (Updated - 9/29/11)  Time to worry about V-Jax?: San Diego WR Vincent Jackson did not practice Thursday for the second straight day as he continues to deal with an abdominal injury. delfamdelfam
he played with it last week so I'm not worried. The only serious thing it could be is a pulled muscle but that was probably the first thing they checked for.
Chargerz
I'd be shocked if VJax didn't play.
