Start CBs and Ss that play passing teams

Recommended Posts

This is my first year playing IDP and I'm noticing that my CBs and Ss score me more points when they play teams that attempt more passes. Does this sound about right? Is this a good rule of thumb to follow when trying to decide which DBs to start?

remain calm this place is empty until wed-thu

Gotcha. It's not a roster move or trade deal, so no big deal. I just wanted some IDP strategy from some people who've been playing this aspect of FF. I'm new to IDP, and trying to get the hang of it.

I usually play guys going against the best offenses period.

Sure JAX will be throwing a lot but they will mostly be incomplete. I'll take the guy playing against HOU. Good offense will run more plays and have more tackle opportunities

ok here is the secret....you play guys who are on teams with poor time of possession and are going against teams with good time of possession. It is all about opportunity. the longer your player is on the field the more likely he is to score.

Over 24 hours and nothing???

I spend most of the week writing content so I don't usually have much time to respond to posts until later in the week.

as for your question it has basically been answered already...and I will add this....the 1st 4 weeks of 2011 now all rank as the top passing yardage weeks in NFL history...

someone did nail it...it is about TACKLE OPPORTUNITIES (rushing attempts + completions + times sacked)...you can't record a tackle on an incomplete pass.

Funny you used Jax as an example...no team has completed fewer passes than they have.

Keggerz, I've been reading all of your articles. Good stuff. Keep it up, and don't worry about my getting back to me, much more valuable info in your articles.

"you can't record a tackle on an incomplete pass." - I see the error in my thinking about teams that just pass a lot.

I'm still trying to get my head around the IDP stuff, but the articles and this forum is helping. Thanks guys.
