Owners making horrible moves

We've got one owner who just seems to make one bad move after another. Every year he takes what is originally a poor draft and consistently makes it worse through knee-jerk waiver moves & ill-advised trades. I would say that he's pretty much the farm team of our league except he'll only trade if he's the one that initiates it. A few weeks back I offered him Stafford, Miles Austin(pre-injury) & Addai for Henne, Bowe & Foster. Maybe not my best offer, but he's a huge Detroit homer & Henne is his best QB. He not only shot it down without so much as a peep, but a day later he dropped Bowe for Ted Ginn Jr. At this point I'm kinda glad he turned it down. Bowe did end up going to one of my division rivals though. His biggest waiver move so far, despite being 1st on order every week has been dropping Derrick Ward for Steve Slaton missing out on players like Nelson, Torrey Smith, Cruz, Ridley, Andy Dalton, Denarius Moore, Decker & his own Bowe after he had his first good week. This past week he dropped Driver for Andre Roberts. Granted, Driver hadn't done a whole lot so far, but what about Roberts would make him think that was a good exchange?

Far be it from me to tell anyone how to run their team, but sometimes you just want to beat your head against the wall. Any of you have one of these guys in your league?

My league has one person who is pretty stupid...his moves so far this year:

Sept 10---Trades Adrian Peterson and Sidney Rice for DeAngelo Williams and Larry Fitzgerald

Sept 13---Trades Calvin Johnson for Reggie Wayne and Donald Driver

Sept 18---Trades Reggie Wayne for Drew Brees, Greg Little, and Steve Smith (PHI) ~ a good deal here actually for him

Sept 22---Trades Drew Brees for Ahmad Bradshaw ~ just ruined his previous good deal

Sept 27---Trades Larry Fitzgerald and DeAngelo Williams for Steven Jackson and Devery Henderson

Oct 1------Trades Michael Bush for Reggie Bush and Donald Jones ~ not a bad deal here as well

Oct 1------Trades Steven Jackson for Shonn Greene and Anquan Boldin ~ jury's still out on this one

so his starting lineup to today's date is Kevin Kolb, Bradshaw, Reggie Bush, Shonn Greene, Anquan Boldin, Devery Henderson, Donald Jones, and Greg Olsen with a bench of Mark Sanchez, Aaron Hernandez, Scott Chandler, Greg Little, Steve Smith (PHILLY), and Hartline.

Do you know the people you are playing with before the season starts?

In my main league we do a little bit of screening before allowing new players to enter, if somebody quits.

It has worked out pretty well so far. We may still have some "bad" players, but nobody is making bone head moves like the ones described in this thread. .

This is an office league, so not gonna happen.

Guy in my league dropped Steven Jackson for Danny Woodhead. Players on his roster that he did not drop for Woodhead include:

Mark Sanchez (he already has Cam Newton and Big Ben)

Pierre Thomas

Ladanian Tomlinson

Torrey Smith

Now SJax is sitting there on the WW for the guy with the #1 priority...

We have an owner in the league who is 0-4 and has scored 100 points less than the next worst team through four weeks; the league leader is at 675 points, while the new owner is at 386 points with this group:

QB Chad Henne,

RB DeAngelo Williams

RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis

FLEX Johnny Knox

WR Denarius Moore

WR David Nelson

TE Jason Witten

DEF Ravens

K Mike Nugent

WR Marques Colston

RB Ryan Grant

DEF Lions D/ST

TE Todd Heap

QB Colt McCoy

WR Antonio Brown

RB Earnest Graham

The worst part of this God-awful squad cannot be seen: he drafted Peyton Manning in the first round even after I told him at the draft PM was probably miss 4-6 weeks (we later learned of course that PM will be out longer). Oh, and the Ravens defense? He drafted them in the fifth round.

This team is destined to go 0-14 at this rate, as the owner is woefully ill-informed, and seems to be stuck in 2006 or something with his ideas of important players.
