What's up with the Seahawks Running Game?

What's going on in Seattle? Marshawn Has been getting under 10 carries a game and its not like they are going to anyone else. Do you guys expect the running game to change at some point?

Hard to establish a running game when they've spent most of the season playing catch-up from rather large deficits. The O-line is young but the pass blocking has improved quickly. Maybe the running game gets a bit more established as the line gels and the schedule gets easier. Lynch got 19 carries when they played Arizona.

Bushwhacked is dead on. You've got rookies starting at right guard and right tackle. You've got a backup for Gallery in at left guard. The line coach and his system are new, as is the offensive coordinator. This line is hugely inexperienced, but the talent is there. Expect them to have some growing pains but to also make some big strides as the season progresses. As a Seahawk homer, I'm not expecting big things(yet), only improvement. I like how they are rebuilding the o-line(and the rest of the team). You just gotta be patient. I'd be surprised if Lynch doens't appear on the fantasy radar in the second half of the season. Carroll wants to run the ball, and they will as the line learns and improves.

Also, it seems like they opened up the play book in the second half of last weeks game. Hopefully this continues which will improve the running game.

agreed. i wouldnt be surprised if the hawks have a very good running game by the second half of the season. pick them up now and stash them.

imo, leon is the most talented rb on the team.

Yeah, it was a potential three-headed monster with Lynch, Forsett, and then Washington last year but never materialized. Like KC, the team is in tatters. I had Forsett then and felt he had potential, but he seemed to vanish. Washington was great on the Jets, but all those injuries, not sure - does he still have it? Lynch is a plodding pounder. Carroll likes him, he'll get some yards, maybe a score once in a blue moon.

That being said, I grabbed Marshawn Lynch off the wire as my #3/#4 RB, he'll get the most touches and has to be the one to own - THIS year, anyway. I'm pretty happy for getting him there as a waiver pick - hoping Seattle may come together a bit. We'll see. I'm not waiting for him to turn into Justin Fargas 2007 or Jamaal Charles 2009 in the second half under any circumstances.

Marshawn Lynch's talent is pretty disappointing. He doesn't exactly get up in the hole. He's okay with a huge hole, but other than that, it's a 2-yard gain. The previous poster was correct, Leon Washington is the most talented back on this roster. I don't see any situation where I would bet on Lynch having a good day. He'll have a good run or two this year, but is more than likely going to get you under 50 yards. I know the line isn't exactly ideal, but I think people are giving Lynch way too much credit. He's just not good, line or not.
