Kid Cid
Well, I'm not excited about my prospects. My plan was to leave the house three hours early for a one hour ride (DC traffic you know). I figured 1 hour to the Metro station and then a 45 minute metro ride should leave me plenty of time to make it and give me a little breathing room. Clearly I wasn't in my right mind when I came up with this plan. I left the house just after my post and was doing OK until I hit traffic 10 minutes into my ride on the highway. One hour and 4 exits of stop and go traffic made me opt for an alternate route which I know is dicey but I couldn't take it any more. So I hop off an exit and promptly get stuck in red light hell. I finally make it to the Metro station with just enough time to take the ride and get to the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse where the exam is being administered. The exam is starting at 10 AM and here it is 9:15 and I am freaking out. Oh but wait, there's no parking space left anywhere at the metro station...Arrrrgggghhh!!!! So I decide that it is worth braving traffic to try and drive all the way there. It's only another 10 minutes according to my GPS. That's a laugh. Everything is stop and go in the city and BTW, didn't you remember that certain streets are only one way at certain times of the day? At 9:59 I pull up to the only parking space I can find, about two blocks away from the restaurant. Thank goodness for parking meters that take credit cards, I then sprint the two blocks to the restaurant. I burst through the doors just as the exam was starting. Yes, they did let me take it but I was clearly flustered by my experiences of the morning. If I passed it is by the barest of margins.
