mrf10
what do you guys think, hold on a little longer or let him go?
MustOfBeenDrunk
Well I'm holding because there simply is no option on the waiver wire If you are in a 16 or even a 14 team league I believe the same will be true for you unless you have small rosters of 18 players or less ? Also if you are in a league that you must start (3) WR's you can't drop him. So it really depends on your league

overworkedirish
I don't think that pirate ship has sailed just yet (badum-chhh), unless your roster is dying of bye week thirst. Cy_Hawk
Tempted to place a blind bid on DHB, dumping Tampa Mike. Just not sure I can get myself to do it yet. I'd do it to pick up Damian Williams (WR-Titans), but I already own Washington
MustOfBeenDrunk
Ok I was thinking that with all this talk of dropping Mike Williams ( TB ) watch him take off this week and maybe even find the end zone Much like when ever someone post in the milk carton threads and then on the next series said player finds pay dirt So I'm going to gamble that the fantasy gods do mess with us and I'm starting him this week !! I haven't had him in my line up since week 2 & my other option is Avant ( philly ) so not much of a gamble I guess

Yes I played Julio Jones WR ( ATL ) in his place ,, although Jones had a bad week 2 also he did have 8 targets and I went with my gut Would play him again this week over Williams if he was playing
JUMbotron
My .02, drop him. He's not getting separation and Winslow & Parker are heavily involved. There are options all over the waiver wire, shake it up- If you get burned, you get burned. But it won't be as bad as what MW has done to you already. There may be many options for those who play in 12 team leagues but 14 & 16 team leagues where you must start (3) WR's things are very thin when the bye weeks come around. To give you an example Jason Avant just got picked up off the waiver to an owner that bid $90.00 of a $200.00 yearly cap ! There were two other bids both of over $60 for him so the owner was not out of line with the $90 bid. Here are the top 20 FA's still available in this league 1. 158. JUMbotron
Here are some WRs that average more targets per game than Mike Williams. Early Doucet Steve Breaston Torrey Smith Darrius Heyward-Bey Jason Avant Preston Parker Jabar Gaffney Antonio Brown Dane Sanzenbacher Danario Alexander Mohamed Massaquoi Jerome Simpson Kevin Walter Lance Moore Brandon Gibson Damian Williams I'm sure a couple are available in most 12-team leagues. The thread-starter, mrf10, didn't specify what size league but I'm assuming 12. Many of those names are not only targeted more, but have just plain looked better. You could also add N. Roosevelt to the mix, now that Donald Jones is out. Or Ted Ginn, now that Josh Morgan is out. Or Legedu Naanee, who was targeted 8 times last week and caught 4 for 63 yds. Or Eddie Royal, who's coming back off bye in Week 7, and might be very busy if Brandon Lloyd is traded. Mike Williams owners have options if they want to cut bait and move on. HowboutthemCowboys
Wait till after this Sunday. I have a feeling you'll be keeping him.... I hope you're right. :fingerscrossed: However, he has big plans for Week 6 against divisional foe New Orleans. "I've played terrible, but I plan to get it together this week (against New Orleans)," he said. "To my aspect, I'm playing terrible. I should be doing a lot more to make my team win, I should be getting in the end zone. That's something I did last year was get into the end zone, put up points for this team and that's what I should be doing and I'm not doing it right now so I've got to get it together. Like I said, this week, you're going to see the old Mike Williams back. Like I told Raheem, I'm back now.'' cbs
SecondString
Dropped him today for Jason Avant...jeez, cant believe I'm saying that, but true. Fed up, can't take it any more...if he had done anything at all last week, I win rather than lose. Spent 17% of my $ on him in auction draft. Oh, the pain. Gourdeau
I GOT A FEELING: Does anyone else have a feeling that Williams is gonna finish the year strong? I don't really know why, but I do, and I have absolutely no reason to believe it, although consider this, he has 2 TD's that have been called back on penalties,, and an almost 3rd which he dropped on the goaline, if he catches that, and the other 2 hold up, he is a #2 WR this year. He's had this week, plus last weeks bye to get ready for the saints, I think he has a big week this week.

Williams, Aromashodu, Mason and Jason Hill. Avant or Hill would be my pick-ups but I'd way rather have M. Williams over all of them. I traded for M. Williams just prior to Week 7 and he put up decent numbers (7 pts). I have a good feeling that this will be the start of his turn around and from hear on out he'll produce. As Gourdeau said no really reason just a feeling. Edited November 6, 2011 by Seahawk
