KillinTime
John McClain is reporting that Derrick Mason has been traded to the Texans... Hope the AJ injury is as minor as they are saying

KillinTime
So this was the guy stirring the pot, eh? Sorry, not that kinda guy. Just got the text from the local radio station. Trying to help out the fellow huddlers....
stethant
No, I mean was Mason the guy leading the offensive dissent in the locker room? I guess I'm wondering if Ryan got pissed and made a statement by removing him from the team? Just trying to figure out what the previous poster meant by a statement trade. I have AJ, and it is being reported that he hasn't been ruled out of THIS weeks game. He could be back week after next even. With Kevin Walter, David Anderson, Jacoby Jones, Owen Daniels and Foster all getting looks in the pass game, is there enough to make Mason a viable fantasy entity? MTSuper7
This is a direct reflection on what the Texans think of Jacoby Jones IMO.

Mason wasn't "leading" the dissent. The whole fokkin' offense hates Brian Schittenheimer. Mason is the one that told the press that Holmes, Burress and himself met with Rex to voice their displeasure about Schitty's incompetance. He was expendable, so Rex and Schitt-for-brains made an example of him. WOrd to the wise: Forget any Jets offensive players until Schitty gets Schitt canned. jetsfan
The signing was made because Jacoby Jones sucks. I've never seen a WR with worse receiving skills. How this guy still has a job I don't know.
Bronco Billy
The signing was made because Jacoby Jones sucks. I've never seen a WR with worse receiving skills. How this guy still has a job I don't know. Has to be his return skills and "wow" factor when he has the ball in the open field. I am just as guilty as many Jones' owners - I finally cut him loose during offseason FA in one league, but held onto him in another and made the mistake of starting him this past Sunday. I can confidently say that he is now headed to the WW in that league also. Can't take it anymore when this guy has had every opportunity in the world to excel in the HOU O and has done nothing with it. As to Mason? A 37 yr old whiny p***y who was cut by one team and now sent packing mid-season by another, both of whom are contenders? I used to respect the guy, but given his age and disposition, there' no way I'd add him to a FF team right now. Hell, the guy can't get separation from a large rock. I'm really out of the loop (and don't live anywhere near the NY area), but wasn't Brian S. a rumored off-season candidate for some HC jobs in the not-to-distant past? wolfer
This is a direct reflection on what the Texans think of Jacoby Jones IMO. Jacoby Jones caught one of his 11 targets this week. That's unacceptable. AJ's injury is what it is. He'll be back week 8. No way they try rushing him back in such a weak division.
