TimC
She likes to make homemade cupcake frosting and I thought she said buttermilk in addition to butter. Now I have this quart of buttermilk that expires in a week or so. Suggestions?

Dutch Oven
You could make some ranch dressing if you're down with that.

wiegie
If you have a stump (cut off at about ground level) in your yard that you want to get rid of, but you don't want to go through the hassle of using a stump-grinder or digging out the stump, this is what you do: Drill some wide holes down into the stump. Pour the buttermilk over the stump so that a fair amount of the milk goes down into the holes you drilled. Cover the stump with some soil. The buttermilk will foster the decay of the stump and it will degrade over time. Perhaps there are better uses for buttermilk, but the above is a far cry better than drinking it.
