Bronco Billy
3-4 in a rebuild dynasty both league. made some radical moves and kept some great core talent I was left with. This quickly became my most favorite league. A team with a punchers chance but probably too many holes yet to truly make noise this year but future could be bright May I say that I was mistaken in questioning one of your big offseason trades and that your rebuilding program has been nothing short of brilliant. Incredible daring and foresight. Well done. I do not have cajones anywhere near the size of yours...
keggerz
I think you are onto something. First the scoring - didn't we expect scoring to be down due to the poorer field position with all the touchbacks from the kickoff rule change taking effect? I agree that it takes Ds some time to catch up to Os - the D reactive play vs O shceduled play thing going on. That the Ds were behind going into the regular season makes sense with less time to prepare due to the lockout. Now if Ds have caught up, the touchbacks may be taking full effect, meaning the rest of the year could be lower scoring like this. I also agree that teams are really spreading the ball around and are unafraid to try younger guys in game situations. That may be due to injuries to regulars as well, which could possibly be attributed in some part to the lessened time frame of the lock out. It seems like there are more injuries this year, but maybe it's my misperception. Thoughts? The NFL has said recently that they will look at the kickoff spot for next year, I think that says all that needs to be said about that. stevegrab
This is my first year playing, so I'm not really sure what to expect. But I can tell you this: I learn something new every year. You've been on The Huddle message boards for 10 years and this is your first year playing fantasy football? I think things are a little stranger than some past years, more of the RBBC, young QB, younger players getting involved (for various reasons), etc. Not sure much of it is a direct result of the lockout and shortened training camp period. whomper
If this is the team that I think it is, it is no slouch. Your record really should be much better.Matt Ryan, CJ, McFadden, Dez, VJax, Pettigrew, Tuck (inj) Peppers, Lofton, D'Qwell & Foster is one hel1 of a core of players. May I say that I was mistaken in questioning one of your big offseason trades and that your rebuilding program has been nothing short of brilliant. Incredible daring and foresight. Well done. That league is excellent
Bier Meister
very funky year with: bills at 4-2 bengals at 4-2 texans at 4-3 oakland at 4-3 lions at 5-2 washington had a good start then came back to reality 49ers at 5-1 as for ff, many steady players have dropped off and some big numbers from "average" players. my teams are all over the board. mostly scoring well, but get "best games" from opponents (ie: against finely on his 3 td week, bradshaw, etc). common for me has been high points against. there are just some years like that. in years past i have benefited from low pa so not terribly bitter about it. That league is excellent I think that is my favorite league now...and not because of how well I am doing but because of how tough of a league that it is and the quality of owners in it. Scorcher
After 3 weeks I was 1 and 8 for three leagues. Now have a winning record in one league 4-3, and am 3-4 in another. Foster taking a while to come around and Roddy's so-so play have hurt. One thing for me is teams like Saints, Pats, Buffalo, and Green Bay that are always a crap shoot for WR's. The point brought up that there is so much talent on most of the teams is very valid. There are a lot of unfamiliar names scoring TD's this year. knights81
I've been playing for several years, but never do I recall missing or being unlucky on so many early draft picks: 1) Jamaal Charles 2) Roddy White 3) DeAngelo Williams 4) LeGarrette Bount Needless to say, I'm near or at the bottom of my league. ... and picking up Earnest Graham when Blount went out obviously didn't pan out either.
