i_am_the_swammi
The bye came at the right time...come Wednesday, he'll have had 10 days of rest and rehab. CBS reporting that he is hoping to practice Wednesday, which I take as a positive (versus the other alternative of having no shot to practice). He was also reportedly out of the boot, which is another good sign. Â That being said, foot sprains are tough....you use all the muscles in your foot when you push off your toes to accelerate, and I doubt he really gives it a good test until later in the week. Slugs3511
So, instead of taking flyers on some other bums on ww at RBs....you would try to get Michael Bush if he is on waivers, correct?

SecondString
bump......any new updates? I got Ringer, but Michael Bush is available....should I go with him instead? Â From Rotoworld: Â According to Steve Corkran of the Oakland Tribune, it's "looking more and more like" Darren McFadden (foot) will be held out of the Raiders' Week 9 game against the Broncos. i_am_the_swammi
Per CBS, he did not practice today, though it is not known if it was out of necessity, or if the Raiders held him out to ensure no setbacks.

Alas, the mesmerizing contract to D-Will shot that to hell. He is a FA in 2013...yes I'm still holding out hope.

Thought for sure he'd be following Fox to Denver then JStew woud have been a total stud this year...he still may be as DWill just isn't getting it done at all now. Â My point was, he is not as good as the top RBs in the league....not even close, actually. So to say he'd be ranked right up there with them is kinda other-worldly. Â DWill was dreadful last year, but they opted to sign him to horrendous money than rely on your boy. Think about that for a minute. Â Like on Carolina, if he was on any other team, he'd be locked into a committee.....Tennesee, Buffalo, Tampa, Miami, Washington, Seattle, Detroit, Indy,.....a ton of them. Only on a team with no running game whatsoever would he get the lion's share of the work. Edited November 2, 2011 by i_am_the_swammi

i_am_the_swammi
Not gonna get into a Stew debate with you. Â Smart move, especially since numbers mean nothing because he never played a full season as the go-to RB, and all you can argue is the hypothetical. stethant
Darren McFadden exited the Raiders' facility in a protective boot and on crutches after missing Wednesday's practice. Chloroform Rx
What would necessitate Taiwan Jones coming into the picture if Michael Bush is healthy? Sure he's got talent, but Bush has always ran the ball well and just had a 99 yard game that came at nearly 6 yards per carry. Whats more, almost all of that was done in the first half before they went into pass-mode. He ran the ball 4 times in the second half so if the game was closer I'm sure we're looking at 150+ yards easy. Not to mention he has pretty good hands.
