MistaWrite
I've already grabbed Ware in a couple of leagues, site unseen and not knowing much about him. What I DO know is that Jacobs can't catch a cold, ain't all that fast and is an injury risk in his own right. So the Giants need a Bradshaw-like back to keep them on their winning ways. Which of the two remaining backs on the team is most likely to receive that production (outside of Jacobs). Ware or Scott???
Slugs3511
I'd think that Ware has to be the first in line.....he actually took some reps the other day against Miami and looked good.....Plus he had the towel around his belt which made him look like Bo Jackson used too.....LOL! Especially in ppr leagues..... Edited November 3, 2011 by Slugs3511

CurlyDumps
Ware has shown he's a capable back, and Coughlin isn't gonna trust a rookie to shoulder the load.
MistaWrite
Ware has shown he's a capable back, and Coughlin isn't gonna trust a rookie to shoulder the load. Now THIS is good insight. I'm reading all the comments about Bradshaw's injury on the ESPN website, and most people over there seem to think Scott deserves/will get the nod. But Coughlin's definitely not the start-a-rookie type.

MrTed46
Call me crazy, but I think Jacobs carry's the load Jacobs will be the main guy but Ware can see 8-12 carries

stevegrab
Ware stepped in for one game this season and was terrible. I'm curious which game was that? Looking at his stats this season weak 6 vs. BUF was his highest carry total, 5 carries for 19 yards. Hard to produce much or gauge how well a RB is doing with only 5 carries. Jacobs hasn't done well all year, and if Bradshaw is out for any extended time (we really don't know yet) Ware could get many more chances to produce, not just spell the #1 or #2 guy. Scorcher
Is Ware a good receiver?
DaFreak
From what I can tell, the homers favor Da'Rel Scott. Not that that means squat but if they can see who is the more talented back you wld think the coaching staff could too. Full disclosure: I picked up Scott in two leagues and didn't give it a second thought
Seahawk
Is Ware a good receiver? From what I've read not seen, they say yes. this could go either way but Ware I think gets first dibs. The probably with Scott again from what i've read is that he can't pick up blitz and isn't there for a good blocking down back. The guy has serious speed just look up his name on youtube. coordi88
with jacobs wanting out of new york, you'd have to think they would give ware/scott a chance ahead of him
Tripleshot
Didn't Bradshaw play through this type of injury a couple years back? Has anyone definitively said he's out yet? I'm not so sure he doesn't get a painkiller injection and play.
Scorcher
Scott sounds like a guy that would fill in for Jacobs, just from reading this thread.

I think Ware will get his shot at 10 carries this week but if he does zero with them AND Brashaw is out for an extended time, Scott can be given some carries to see what he has. It's really up to Ware to lose his role right now, but anything is possible. If you have a dead roster spot you can do worse. I wouldn't drop someone for him though. Scooby's Hubby
Jacobs is a loose cannon ... with the NYG in the division lead by 2 games, you have to think that Coughlin will use the one who doesn't fumble. Ware has not fumbled in a game since 2009. Jacobs has yet to fumble this year, however you know it's coming. Ware is 6'0 225lb and could eventually see just as much goaline as jacobs, although Ware will probably be a 3rd down back. At 26 yrs old and not a rookie, Ware should have earned a chance. Jacobs should start (mostly for his ego), but it wouldn't hurt for Ware to impress with his first few chances , maybe a 3rd down passing situation. Pick up the blitz, catch a few dump offs, next thing you know Jacobs is getting pissy on the sidelines while Ware is out there stealing the show. The Bradshaw news keeps getting worse, from playing through the injury to maybe just a week off to now possible surgery. Ware could be a gamble well spent if you have a roster spot for a 4th or 5th RB.
