MikePereira (Former Vice President of Officiating in the National Football League. Current Rules Analyst at FOX Sports.)disagrees with you

his tweet about the play: Just answered. He was pushed into the contact. I don't think it was a foul.

Could be why he isn't the head chef referee guy anymore... but in his defense, the calls are still getting worse.

Not saying that at all.

He was pushed, but his trajectory was still on Cutler. He was NOT pushed into him, thus the call. Big difference. If anything the push lightened the hit.

take off your orange and blue bears glasses and watch again  ...his angle actually was changed if ever so slightly...but it is a moot point..done and over with...tie game with a quarter and a half of football left.

Serious question, how does pushing someone or something towards an object that it hits lessen the blow?

refs are slowly starting to rely on the instant replay. lots of new rules to protect the players really doesnt make their job easier.

also, hard to say officiating is getting worse when it is nearly impossible to quantify the quality before the camera angles and hd slo-mo replays
