Balzac
I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times, but is there any way to get the Thursday night games w/o NFL Network? I'd love to watch the game (without having to leave my house) but us poor schlubs in NY don't get NFLN. Website? iPad app? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks. nat559
The internet has solutions for these problems if you look closely. I won't link them here. Edited November 10, 2011 by nat559

stevegrab
none of these responses are cool Neither is trying to get something for free when others pay money for it. So no bars in NY can get NFLN, don't they have NFL Sunday Ticket, so they have Direct TV which carries NFLN. Sucks that your cable provider won't carry a station of interest, and that you may have no other option (cannot do a Sat dish, etc).

Please - this is not an issue of getting something for free when others pay money for it. I pay a lot of money for my cable - it just so happens that they don't offer NFLN. If my cable provider offered it, I would get it. I'm not going to convert my entire tv package for the sole purpose of getting a few Thursday night games - that's not being cheap . . . it's just not being an idiot. If I didn't have 4 young kids at home, I'd go to a bar and watch the game - not an option for me though.

How dare you address me with sarcasm? PS - while I appreciate the offer, I can get the audio of the game in a number of places (e.g., nfl.com) and not have to inconvenience you with eating up your minutes Edited November 10, 2011 by Balzac

My issue is with people looking for an online streaming of programs, which if it is free is pirated copyright material. Everybody who gets NFLN is paying for that channel, and people who are getting it for free are not. There's a lot of good stuff on NFLN if you're a fan, other than the 8 games a year. If you removed NFL games from both NFLN and ESPN I'd still pay more for NFLN, because ESPN blows. Hope you can find the game, it should be a good one. coordi88
I guess if the only other option is untelevised, sure... But making people subscribe to a limited NFL channel to catch a primetime game is wrong
Infinity
I'll make you a deal. If you buy me a video camera, Opie and I will reenact the entire game for you on camera. We will each represent the team, I'll be the Raiders and he will be the Chargers(because i know he hates them so much). We will play every single down for you, playing each position on the team with only the two of us. It will become a masterpiece and a work of art. You will get your game, and it will be better than the one anyone else saw. Although...it probably won't be released for a year or so. Actually, make it 3 years. Opie's out west and I'm either at school in Michigan or back home on long island. I promise it will be worth the wait. I imagine it will be something like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgdOcSeEkqg...feature=related Let me know what you think. Opie is unaware of this idea right now, i'm sure he's more then welcome to it. But as for solutions for the next few hours...i got none Edited November 11, 2011 by Infinity

The odds of me calling you tonight to let you listen to the game have not increased now, I'll tell you that. All sarcasm aside, I really hope you get to see this game tonight because you seem like a really great guy and I think this game is going to be one for the ages. Once the kids are down, I'll be all over the numerous websites that the various huddlers recommended. Been doing this for 15 years and these boards are still the best place to go for advice . . .
