While there are no guarantees that Best will play against the Panthers in Week 11, his return to practice suggests he's been medically cleared after his latest concussion. We'll have at least one more update before Wednesday night. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/220...ce-on-wednesday Updated Roto News: Jahvid Best (concussion) was in attendance at Lions practice Wednesday. The Lions announced that Best was "at" Wednesday's practice on Twitter, but have failed to specify whether he participated. Furd
We've seen Best dropped in quite a few fantasy leagues; pick him back up. Maybe you can get a good 5 or 6 quarters out of him before he goes down again.
JUMbotron
I hope he comes back this year. I'm afraid if he doesn't we won't see him again.
Marauders11
Best was AT practice--wasn't there a report just a few days ago saying he still had symptoms? don't think he's playing anytime soon...
Woodside Warriors
I hope he comes back this year. I'm afraid if he doesn't we won't see him again. Is he worth picking up in a redraft league(owner dropped him yesterday)
BillyBalata
Updating a previous item, Jahvid Best (concussion) did not participate in Lions practice Wednesday. The Lions' Twitter account deceptively announced that Best was "at" practice on Wednesday, but it appears he only attended and still hasn't been medically cleared. Look for Maurice Morris to start Sunday against the Panthers.
Scooby's Hubby
I hope he comes back this year. I'm afraid if he doesn't we won't see him again. It will be interesting to see how close the Lions get to making the playoffs and if they will want to use him the last two or three games in their attempt at making the playoffs, (I do not think they make the playoffs). We all know they need him now. It is a bad sign that he cannot practice yet, right when they need him most. My gut tells me that if he cannot make it for the playoff run, now, then his career is most likely over. The doctors must all be telling him another concussion will occur too easily and that anymore concussions will not only end his career but also create a serious health issue for the rest of his life. neklok
how long was justin morneau out this year in baseball? yeah. and he doesn't play a sport where bashing your head repeatedly is required. best is doomed. even if he does come back, how does he avoid another shot to the head? good luck if you picked him, or, recently picked him up. bostonsoxandy
Is he worth picking up in a redraft league(owner dropped him yesterday) If your talking about hte league w/ the roster in your sig, Best > McKnight no question...Best will be startable if he gets healthy sometime this year (which it looks like he will be at some point)

Each case is unique and you can't compare other cases to it....who knows with Best BUT if he has been medically cleared to play why not take a flyer on a guy who was performing pretty darn well before the injury? nat559
Nevermind: According to his agent, Jahvid Best has consulted "several specialists" about his ongoing concussion symptoms and has yet to be medically cleared to resume football activities."He is in the process of recovering from this most recent concussion," agent Tony Fleming said. "Once his symptoms are gone then he will be reevaluated for the future." Best remains out indefinitely with no timetable for a return. His presence at Lions practice was perhaps a sign of progress, but he's not yet practicing. We'd still try to hang onto him in PPR leagues. historymike
Ugh - I could have gotten a a top-end WR for Best before the concussion. While I wish the best for Best (sorry, had to do it) he is worthless right now: he is too talented to simply drop, since he might be worth RB2 or RB3 space at fantasy playoff time, but he is dead weight until he actually plays. I traded Schaub away to get Best earlier this year. Neither of us is likely to be too happy with the result but it's a weird coincidence that neither of the two players involved are likely to play another down this year. LB49ers
think he's done for the season, just based on what I'm reading from people I'm following on twitter.....what a shame, gluck to him and his future though.
