LooGie
Disclaimer: I'm a godawful 2-3 ATS on picking Thursday games. I lost all 3 ATS on Thanksgiving. So what. Want to fight about it? Add that to the fact that there's really no stats to back up this claim, but screw it. Whatever. SEA 24 PHI 23 Really they're a pretty evenly matched team, as far as how good they've been this year...and the answer is not really good at all. Vince Young has a knack for winning games, but a long travel after a short week for PHI puts SEA on my watch list. I see alot of Vince trying to make it happen with his legs when the noise overwhelms him at the line, and SEA isn't too shabby against the run. well...there it is. Upset. If you're not feeling the moneyline bet, take the points. Final Result: SEA 31 PHI 14 Edited December 2, 2011 by LooGie
i_am_the_swammi
Its not a bad bet, and since they are both 4-7, I am surprised the home team is a dog. 1. Philly has to be deflated after their drubbing this past week. While not mathematically eliminated, they must know they are done. 2. Not only a short week...but a very short week....they played a late game Sunday, practiced only two days, and traveled all day yesterday. 3. Seattle at home is tough....ask the Ravens. 4. Lynch has been running very well, and there is one thing the Eagles do well...give up big chunks on the ground. This is a game Tavaris won't be asked to win. 5. McCoy is dinged...if he reaggravates his toe injury and has to leave, they are cooked. On the other side: 1. Reid all but admitted he needed to get McCOy involved to a much greater degree, running to set up the pass. Expect that tonight, and since the Seahawks won't likely be ahead by 2+ TDs, expect it all game. The Eagles will use their best weapon for four quarters. 2. Reid is stellar in primetime games for some reason.....16-7, including a recent 8-2 mark. 3. Djax is out to prove that he is more than a meatball....expect a hugh game from him. 4. The Eagles weakness in coverage will not likely be exposed by TJ...they'll be able to play the run more effectively, and beg TJ to throw the ball. 5. They are likely playing for Reid's job (whether he deserves to keep it or not). Eagles 30, Seahawks 20....just a hunch they play to win, and bounce back after their worst loss of the year. LooGie
i really got nothing to combat that. Although a 10 point win by PHI seems awfully high. They've only averaged like 21 points a game or something. 23 at the most.
DanTheMan_5
I think the safer bet is the over @ 43 1/2, but what the hell do I know?!?!?!?!?
gilthorp
How will Vince Young do tonight?
alexgaddis
I could see Philly losing this outright as well but would fell more comfortable taking the points
