I'd agree, without looking it up. My guess is that they went with the play that they felt gave them the best chance to score a TD. When you have Drew Brees, I would often make the same choice that they did. "They pad his stats by calling pass plays inside the 5" is something we all heard about Favre for a number of years, too.
