tazinib1
In light of the Titus Young bonehead move and all the other non-disciplined Lions, Schwartz would fair very well in taking a lesson from Raheem Morris on How to keep your players in check Edited December 5, 2011 by tazinib1

Sunday Couch Potatoe
When they asked Schwartz how they were going to do without Suh. He should have said," Fine, we'll still get the penalties." Or "oh don't worry we'll still put the boot to them with or without him!!"
detlef
Schwartz is a freaking loser. Apparently, we have been unfair to Suh. It's not him at all, it's his useless effing coach. Because that BS is woven into the very fabric of that team. Suh missing? No problem, someone else will step up and do something really effing childish. Of a few, just for good measure. Â I mean, it works the other way with MVP voting. If Rodgers went down and the back-up came in and picked up right where they left off, we'd seriously question whether or not Rodgers was actually the MVP. Because maybe he'd just be a "system guy". So, same goes here. Suh is in line for biggest goon, but since Detroit just picked up right where they left off in his absence, maybe that undoes his candidacy for the title of biggest a-hole. Maybe he's just a "system thug" and the real award should go to the coach. The man behind the system. Â Pettigrew shoves an official? Are you freaking kidding me? You can't have that many boneheads on one team and not look at who's in charge when assigning blame. Â Lions fans deserve better than this. stevegrab
Reminds me of the way that Mike Singletary treated Vernon Davis after an incident. Would be good of Schwartz does something, because that team does have a lot of talent. They have a chance to compete for the playoffs regularly, instead of shooting themselves in the foot so often. I was losing interst in the game last night so I missed a lot of the stupidity. Shoving an official, wow that is just dumb!
CurlyDumps
Nobody should be taking any lessons whatsoever from Raheem Morris.

Say you're afraid of taking talent off the field. They've got another pass catching TE who is no slouch.

MrTed46
Pettigrew can't catch a damn pass in traffic and he's a monster but he has no problem pushing an official.
Bronco Billy
It appears that Schwartz is a disciple of the Al Davis school of corporate culture.
detlef
It appears that Schwartz is a disciple of the Al Davis school of corporate culture. Davis had an excuse. It actually worked for him long enough to think it always would. He just got too stubborn to realize that you need to be heads and shoulders better than your opponent to be able to overcome 100 yds in penalties every game. Â Sidetrack. But it reminds me of FSU under Bowden. Those guys always looked so much better in August than they did during the season and always dropped a few games they weren't supposed to. Because they played stupidly. Then, one of his top assistants, Chuck Amato, came to NC St, and they were basically a poor-man's FSU. Again, talented (though not as much as FSU), but dumb as a box of rocks. And they always lost a few games they shouldn't. Only, for them, it meant finishing 6-5 rather than 8-3. Not 8-3 instead of 10-1.

caddyman
Nobody should be taking any lessons whatsoever from Raheem Morris. You got that right. Unless the lesson is how to apply for unemployment compensation. Dude is terrible.
