Riffraff
Thought I heard the radio DJ say it was Madonna + cirque du soleil. Heard Madonna puts on a great show / concert, but that was a decade or so ago. Great entertainer, not so great of a singer.

BadDawg
Good time to take a bathroom break and get the cooler next to the recliner restocked with beer & ice ... just in time to get settled back and rate the 2nd half commercials. True, except the high profile commercials are played at halftime.
BadDawg
True, except the high profile commercials are played at halftime. Don't worry ... my wife would make sure we time it right(no Madonaa fan either) ... she might be luke warm on the actual game ... but she perks up at any break in the action, and sticks her head into our man cave for those commercials. I play along like it's a major emphasis of the whole 4hr ordeal. Edited December 5, 2011 by BadDawg
CaP'N GRuNGe
Just horrible. Give me Pearl Jam with special guests Neil Young, Jack Johnson, and the Black Keys. Now THAT would be a halftime show.
BillyBalata
True, except the high profile commercials are played at halftime. I'm pretty sure they don't play any of the new commercials during halftime. They know everyone will be out of the room eating, drinking, pissing, whatever. BeeR
Hell ya!!! A used up old slut to not listen to during the halftime show. Even if she was ever hot or could sing and either was still true (none of it is), halftime of SB = mute for me for many years. See you when the actual game starts. BeeR
The whole "circus" aspect of the SB just doesn't appeal at all. I just want to watch a game.

bostonsoxandy
Mike Polk hit it on the head for me: "Can't wait for the Madonna Superbowl halftime show! Nothing screams "football" like a 60 year old woman lip-synching songs that she wrote in the 80's about how much she likes to burrito." SNOWBOUND33
The whole "circus" aspect of the SB just doesn't appeal at all. I just want to watch a game. I do agree with that. Just tone it down a little. The band should be like 1 or 2 songs, not medleys and then done. Kind of like an extended SNL guest band. This, a 3hr game wrapped into two weeks of nauseating media coverage and psuedo entertainment.
