Bristol66
The waiver wire was very good to me this year. I can't recall a year where waivers had such a huge impact on the success of my team. We did an auction draft this year and I spent big money on Charles. I also spent on Brees, Turner, and Mendenhall. My best receiver was Colston. I lost my first four games and was at the bottom of my league in scoring. Abyssmal. Just God awful. Since then I have picked up Newton, Cruz, Antonio Brown, and Laurent Robinson. Newton allowed me to trade Brees, I was able to get Foster and Julio Jones in the deal giving up Brees, Colston and McGahee. I reeled off 8 in a row after that and am now headed into our playoffs! Those waivers saved my season! Does anyone else have similar stories?

Those waivers saved my season! Does anyone else have similar stories? My draft turned out pretty good at RB, so I was set there, somewhat by luck (McCoy, R. Bush, Fred Jackson, Marshawn Lynch, Cadillac) But my receiving corp that I though would be solid, LFitz, VJax, Hines Ward, Davone Bess quickly deteriorated... I was able to pick up Torrey Smith and Victor Cruz off of waivers and solidify the WR position. Though, it has turned into a cluster as to which WR to start when... michaelman
players like Victor Cruz, Calvin Johnson, Cam Newton may have lost a lot of week 1 playoff match ups.
Seahawk
players like Victor Cruz, Calvin Johnson, Cam Newton may have lost a lot of week 1 playoff match ups. Players like Cruz and Newton got you to the promise land (playoffs) when you probably shouldn't have been there in the first place. Expectation of such finds should be held with a specific regard (Living on borrowed time). Calvin on the other hand I can't speak for the guy. He's been the worlds biggest decoy since week ten. bostonsoxandy
Every year people think that waivers were abnormally better...last year a top-5 QB in Vick, a top-10 RB in Hillis, and the #1 WR in Brandon Lloyd were all available on WW in most leagues. And that's just naming a few, I'm sure theres plenty more
