Any word on whether he's healthy enough to play this week? His production is definitely down the past few weeks.

He's fine.

Falcons haven't been hitting on all cylinders for a couple weeks now.

Didn't practice yesterday, so that's not a good sign:

This groin thingy, from what the sports radio is reporting, has been going a few weeks.

I would think if it were serious that they wouldn't keep playing him.

My question would be, what are your other options?

That and the Jags rushing D ain't great.

Yeah, I have no inside track, I'm sure the local sports shows are where you'll get the best, most recent info, but kffl is a pretty decent source in general.

No doubt your info is incredibly relevant. I just listen to entirely too much sports radio here and they have been talking about this groin injury since around week 11 or 12... Though, this is about the time that his numbers started dropping. I do think he can have some pretty good opportunities against the Jags, though.

Believe me, you and many others on here are much more informed than I with regard to the entirety of the NFL and that is why I typically stay out of discussions regarding a lot of the issues around the league. I think I'm gonna be pretty accurate on this one... though, I could be wrong.

The Huddle news from before and after the game sums up the same thing I always used to say when they'd hold Roddy out of practice and throw a questionable tag on him any time he was remotely banged up; "It almost always means that he'll play and play well" when they do that...

Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 2. He is listed as questionable for Week 13 but is expected to play.

Huddle Up: For the record, Turner was questionable several times with the groin injury last year. He wasn't always 100 percent effective but managed to suit up each time.

Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

Huddle Up: Turner's groin was a hot topic last week when he missed some team drills but he suited up and carried 14 times for 44 yards, handling all but three of the Falcons' total RB carries. We didn't see any signs that Turner was hindered or sore. Carolina is a much better matchup than Houston.

Of course Turner has been slowing down a bit and teams seem to be stacking the box on him pretty frequently, so on a short week, I might explore other options if you have better ones... But keep in mind that his putrid box scores the last few weeks have also been the result of facing a tough Texans D and falling behind early at Carolina (where he was breaking off some nice chunks early, before they blew up the line of scrimmage on him and Ryan, and Cam threw up 24 unanswered points for them to answer). Even playing with this injury, he's still received the vast majority of carries and playing time.

Unless we hear word that he appears to have aggravated it worse, I'd expect him to suit up, and be decently effective versus a Jags team that is a lot more susceptible to the run than pass, in a must-win game for the Falcons. It's probably more likely that they held him out of practice to make sure he's ready to go on a short week, than him being any worse off than he's been the last few weeks with the injury.
