Scorcher
On another venue someone stated that the Wash LT was going to be an undrafted rookie last name Smith . Does anyone know anything about this and if true how it will affect Grossman?
electricrelish
Good question. It has me worried that the Giants could disrupt Grossman. No way to know except the fact that he's a rook.
Brentastic
I don't remember the specifics but I thought the starting LT for the Redskins missed last week already which leads me to believe this rook started last week too . Unless the backup LT got hurt and now the rook has to step in Certainly worth some digging.
tazinib1
Pierre Paul is gonna have a monster game against Will Smith. just saying that makes me If you have the Giants D, now is a great time to play then. I'd expect 3 sacks and 2 INTs AT LEAST.
Scorcher
If this helps I saw this in team notes: --RT Jammal Brown injured his groin during warm-ups last Sunday and is no sure thing to return to the lineup this week against the New York Giants. "Doing one of my pull drills, I kinda went to pull right and kinda got stuck in the splits," he said. "(It was) something really (flukey)." Brown was impressed by how the revamped line with the inexperienced Tyler Polumbus replacing him and rookie free agent Willie Smith taking most of the work at left tackle helped the offense generate season-highs of 27 points and 463 yards. That helps Brown not rush back if the groin's not right this week. So it sounds like Smith played last week.
OCSkins
Skins homer here. Willie Smith played last week and shared duties with Sean Locklear. Locklear is a vet the Skins picked up from the Seahawks during the offseason, and Locklear got more snaps last week bcs Smith is a rook. But Smith played pretty well, so this week it will be a mishmash of Smith/Locklear at LT for the Skins. Smith is auditioning for a roster spot for next year, so it is logical he will play hard. FWIW, Willie Smith was on everybody's list of "Top Undrafted Players" so it's not like he's a bum. He's got long arms and talent, just a tad underweight for his position. If you're "licking your chops" about starting the Giants D, remember that Osi is OUT and Tuck is questionable. The Giants D is pretty awful in general; however, Grossman is a TO machine at times, so have some second thoughts if you're thinking the Giants will get a lot of sacks. Your best bet is to hope for turnovers from Rexy. Hope this was helpful.

brockh01
I'm starting Moss over VJAX in my league's championship game. Hopefully Rex can get the ball out today.

I fully expect a less-than-stellar Giants pass rush today. Might affect Helu a bit, if he's called on to block more than run, but Grossman should be under less pressure than usual IMO

Scorcher
Let's just hope he is getting his interception out of the way early so he can do well the rest of the way! Edited December 18, 2011 by Scorcher
buddahj
Well, the Rex experiment went horribly today. Thanks to his play & getting Brees'd...my championship hopes have been flushed right down the crapper.
OCSkins
I got bent over by Brees today too. My only hope is The Gronk shows up as usual.
