The 13ers
The Milwaukee Journal posted a poll on their website asking if the Packers win the Super Bowl, is it still a disappointing season. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/135831658.h...amp;cid=8500544 How can anyone feel winning the Super Bowl is a disappointment? I don't care if GB goes 0-3 to end the season, as long as the win in all the playoffs.
stevegrab
Yep that's dumb, but they know it will generate hits/readers which is what its all about. Furthermore I bet at least 10-20% will answer YES. Thinking that by going 19-0 they'd be the greatest team of all time, instead of just one of the best in recent history (back-to-back SB wins are pretty rare.) I've heard fans say "If we beat so-and-so (hated division rivals) that is most important." Then I ask, so beating a hated rival and losing all other games is better than losing to that hated rival and winning a championship. I generally get silence or some indignant response "No, that isn't what I mean."
SecondString
I believe it...jaded Packers' fans with a lack of perspective. They are probably flying flags at half-mast today.
The 13ers
Some fans are jumping after one friggin loss. I find it pretty funny.
historymike
Since no one has yet to say it, let me point out the poll's inherent flaw, which is that "Puddy" is not listed as a response option.
alexgaddis
Why would anyone be a fan of that team in the first place?
stevegrab
Rhetorical question I presume, but I can think of two very good reasons - they are winning (and not just last year's SB) - they do not have some douchebag owner that can screw things up
