deluxe1
I have been playing fantasy football for quite some time, usually 4 or 5 leagues per year. We have a team that has a chance to go undefeated this year. It is a solid 10 team league playing for real jelly beans [$$$$] I was curious if this was as rare as I think. I have never seen it happen. How many times have you seen a team go undefeated in a legit fantasy league? -P
MnLefty
I don't have access to our historical stats anymore, but I'm pretty sure in 10 years of my main local 10 teamer nobody has done better than 10-3 in our 13 week regular season... There could be a 11-2 somewhere in there, but I don't remember it. Lately I don't remember anybody in our league starting out more than about 4-0 before a first loss. SecondString
We had a 12-1 last year (regular season) and he went 2-0 in the playoffs...that's as close as I've seen.

deluxe1
I went back and looked through my leagues since 2005. I found a team that was 13-2 as the best record I could find. As long as Akers scores 1point tonight he will be 15-0 with one game to play. Unbelievable. This is actually a 12 team league. Not sure if that makes it more or less impressive. armonsol
In 2007 I went undefeated 14-0 through regular season, had Brady, Tomlinson, Jones Drew, Edwards, Wayne and Cooley. Won round one of playoffs and then Brady played in a snowstorm and I lost the super bowl. Our league is 21 yrs old that was the closest. The 13ers
In eleven years, my league's never had someone go the entire year undefeated. One owner went 13-0 in the regular season, then lost in the first round of the playoffs...ouch.

historymike
My main local league (17 years in existence) had a 13-1 team once before we moved to a 13-week schedule. Since that time 11-2 and 12-1 are the best regular season records (12-1 once, 11-2 twice). Interestingly, none of these teams won the championship, though all went at least to the finals My personal regular season best (at least in competitive leagues) was an 11-2-1 team in 2005 that lost to (gulp) a 6-8 team that got hot at the end. I once had a 12-1 team that led wire-to-wire and won the Super Bowl, but only about half of the owners knew what they were doing. Even though it was easy money for me, I stopped playing because it was no fun. It was kind of like playing pickup basketball against 6-year-olds with leg braces: sure, you win big every time, but who takes pleasure from whooping on competitors without any skill? i_am_the_swammi
I finished the regular season at 12-1 in my less-meaningful (and lower money ) 10-team local. Romped to a win yesterday, and hoping to nail down the championship next week. Team I started yesterday: QB: Rodgers QB: Stafford RB: McCoy RB: Foster RB: K. Smith WR: C. Johnson WR: AJ Green TE: Graham K: Kasay Bench: Tebow, Forte, Pierre, BGE, VJax, Avant, Celek 3-player keeper, no limit on years kept. Went into the year with Rodgers/Foster/Johnson, drafted McCoy with the 1.2 pick (pick acquired via trade over the summer, and McCoy was available because the Rice owner released him after last year). The steals were getting Forte at 2.9, and Graham at 7.2. We start two QBs, and no team can have more than 3 QBs on their roster to ensure each team has the ability to start two. The week I lost was the week I went against Brady/Sanchez (each threw 4 TDs), a big M. Bush day, and Chris Johnson's 190 yard breakout day....week 12. BadDawg
The oldest (all the way back to '87) of the three leagues I am in, has had only 3 seasons where teams have gone undefeated during the regular season. All 3 lost in the playoffs ... seems to catch up to ya sooner or later. The other two leagues are both less than a dozen seasons with very few teams even mustering a 2 loss record. . Steelhead
4-5 yrs back we had a 13-1 team and they got kicked out in the first round by me as a 6th seed. This year in one league I went 10-0 and finished 11-2 regular season. Just won the chamnpionship so I finished 13-2. not too shabby.
detlef
Not that it's even close, but I did start out 0-3, then 1-4 and ran the table from there including having my team completely go off during my bye week in the first round of the play-offs.
