Cowboyz1
Because it's the FRicken Giants. It because they're in the east and have come in to Dallas time and again and out beat us in our own house. Its because of emmitt Smith going into NY and snatching their hope even though they slammed his shoulder into.the ground trying to stop him. Its because of JPP found a way through our line to block a kick. Its because of that coconut head Jacobs, that knuckle draggin defensive tackle they stretch a tarp over and spray paint a RB number on. Yeah that 270 pound mouth that everytime he gets the ball I want to see the whole defense truck him three or four at a time. Because just maybe ware is gonna have one of HIS games and Slip's hand is just fine and he Austin, Witten and dez play catch. Because it's 2012 and a new year, and that new day beginning the new year is a Sunday. For all intents and purposes this is next year. The one your always saying your team will be better in. Its here. Therefore I can't think of anything better to start the new year then a victory over our arch rival and snatch the postseason ticket and the divisional title. Because I'm gonna be that Guy who's team was just plunked from the promise of next week tree and and thrown into the not ripe yet bin if we lose. Or worse yet here on this very board dodging full heads of lettuce, rotting tomatoes and sour grapes. Because ill be out 40 bones to a giant fan. Because sweeping one of your east rivals isn't historically easy. Its because damnit I love the fact that I get to see the Dallas Cowboys play the Giants the last game of the season for a playoff birth. Its because as you all know, I wanna come in here and say I told you Slip was gonna throw for 4 touchdowns and leave no doubt about who's going to the big dance. I told you he could play big in big games. I told you he was better then blue Gumby in shoulderpads. Its also because I don't want to come in here and choke down another 12 course dinner of crow you all will feed me come Monday morning. Or because i will have to read "best clutch losing legend in a division loss with the best 4th quarter QB rating evah!" Post Its because of the East and historic battles that make the East. And just like the East the fans are cold like the weather and just as prickly this time of year. Its because I'm a Homer and as such I see the silver lining even if its not there. Most of all its because my cowboys are about to go to battle and I have to believe we have enough grit to find a way win this game. I don't care about the facts, stats or the records. Its because its football in January and my Cowboys can be in with a win. Its because this year was, this close to not being, yet it is now 17 weeks old meaning its almost over. Its because I love me some football and so do you that's why your here reading this post. Edited January 1, 2012 by Cowboyz1

Brookings has been the most vocal in assuming that role,, but this needs to be shouldered by our top players,, Ware, T-New, Romo, and I almost expect Witten to break a record tonight, that secondary is worse than ours has ever been all season, and the LBrs are highly exploitable. Its just time to shut em all up, and its games like this, that change record books, and for some players defines their career.

bostonsoxandy
It's like watching an average looking guy hit on a smoking hot girl with food in his teeth. Bill Simmons picking the Giants at (-3) : The Cowboys choked five different times (Jets, Lions, Patriots, Cards, Giants) in brutal defeats that elicited emotions ranging from "I knew we'd blow that game, but it still ruined my weekend" to "I'm starting to understand the chain of events that leads someone to try heroin." Here's why I am grabbing the Giants: They do two things (throw the ball, rush the passer) better than Dallas does anything; Dallas beat San Fran in Week 2 and hasn't beaten a team better than .500 since; Felix Jones, Terence Newman and Jason Garrett are prominently involved; and finally, if your life depended on this game, do you really want to back Tony Romo's injured throwing hand outdoors, in cold weather, on the road, when it's attached to Tony Romo's body? That sounds more than a little risky to me. I'm laying the 3.
