Big John
I am seeing conflicting reports on this. This tweet says he is still torn between the Rams and the Dolphins
STL Fan
NOOOOOOOOO! The Rams need a PR win badly. Fan support for this team has always been incredibly good, especially considering how bad this team has been for most of the time they have been here. But the fanbase is discouraged right now and needs a boost. This would be disastrous for the team from a publicity standpoint if it's true. Maybe there's a former NFL QB who's been busy building a braniac, cellar dwelling college program into a BCS contender out there? Oh, bummer, there was but he got snapped up by a division rival. MustOfBeenDrunk
I still hate Irsay for not moving on Harbaugh. Unbelievable what the locals are saying about Jim ,,, I like the guy and he is a great fit ,, maybe the best 1st year coach I have seen. But he is being called Tebow's Father ,,, Ok to be fair the Father of all Christians If the 49ers do not win the SuperBowl this year I'm wondering how well the team will have to do next year before the bashing begins ? If they win the division with say a 11 - 5 record will the fans be down on him for not improving ?

Most realize that a lot of things have broken right for us this year and that we could technically be a better team with a worse record next year. Or maybe he was hired by that division rival when the Rams current coach was coming off a 7-9 season, literally playing the last game of the season for the playoffs. Did YOU know that the team was going to completely fall apart this year? Yeah, the Rams sure missed the boat on that one.

Obviously you weren't in the market for a coach last year.

Seahawks21
I know a bit of this is due to the fact that the teams I root for have been in the same league/division as his team's, but I would have a really hard time rooting for that d-bag (Harbaugh). He's a fantastic coach and his results can't be argued with, but what kind of a-hole runs the score up on a bunch of kids? He's about as chump as they come. Say that again. Stanford ran up the score on USC. Given the histories of the two schools, one could argue that Stanford can do whatever the hell they want against USC and should be encouraged to score 100 pts if they can. ANY college coach that calls timeouts with under a minute left up by 28 with the sole intention of running up the score against ANY kids from ANY University should be sent off the field and banned from collegiate athletics on the spot. I've watched collegiate athletics for a long time and have never seen anything close to as classless as this. The schools involved are not relative to this discussion. They are kids, period. I have hated USC my entire life. Those kids don't deserve to be treated like that by any adult. Nice message to send.

And if they're at USC, they've been on the winning share of many a beat down throughout their HS careers plus, likely, a few at the college ranks. I'm pretty sure they'll survive and I think you're getting a bit carried away here. And I do think it matters who is playing who. If you're playing a program who has no business sharing the field with you. That is made up exclusively of guys who have no shot at playing on Sundays. That sort of thing. Then yes, I think there's an obligation to let up the gas. But if Vandy catches lighting in a bottle one year and has Bama down big late? After all the years they've been the SEC's b!tch? I hope they get their money's worth. Hell, I'll take it a step further. What kind of puss was Carrol getting pissy about that? There are about 15 or so programs who have forfeited the right to ever complain about having someone beat them too badly, and SC is certainly one of them. You're the coach of USC and your pissy because Stanford, of all programs, was supposed let off the gas against you? How the hell does that happen? Refusing to let off the gas and calling timeouts in the final minute of a blowout aren't even on the same planet. No other coach in college football would even dream of doing anything like it. Duchess Jack
Congrats Rams fans. I wasn't 100% sure that he was the answer in Miami, but it would not have been a terrible choice. I just hope that they don't go ahead and make that terrible choice now.

Ross is clueless as an NFL owner and between this fiasco and the Harbaugh deal last year, really shows he has no idea what he's doing. I'm not terribly upset we didn't land the highly over rated Fisher, but it shows a pattern of flubs the owner continues to make. Remember the Ross' quote "We will not be outbid in our quest for a new HC." Personally I hope we land Chud as our HC but I have a feeling the Ross/Ireland "brain trust" already has a Plan B in place. Prepare to be underwhelmed.
