Tford
Already I'm seeing offseason trades in some of my leagues, what are some huddlers seeing in others? All three of these trades happened in a shallow 12 teams PPR league Anquan Boldin for Vernon Davis Colt McCoy / Lance Moore for Steve Smith (PHI) / Danny Woodhead / 2.06 / 3.04 1.04 for Steve Smith (CAR) / David Nelson Saw this one in my local keeper league Marques Colston for Beanie Wells
MustOfBeenDrunk
I'm thinking of trading Ray Rice for 1.01 & 1.04 in a 14 team PPR I may be over paying but this team is a mess and Rice is the only starter I own ,, well him and Romo Without making the trade I have 1.02 and a team that will finish in the basement for the next 3 years anyways With the trade I give away Ray Rice but end up with 1.01 ,, 1.02 ,, 1.03 If I don't make the trade and try building my team keeping Rice who is to say he has more than 3 years left as a top RB To me it just makes sense to start building now
MustOfBeenDrunk
Also the only reason trade has not been made yet is the other owner has not paid 2012 league fees yet That is the same reason we have not had many trades so far this year ,, trading privileges are not turned on until a team has paid league fees and many of the owner don't get around to doing that until right before the NFL draft

You can potentially get a stud QB (Luck or Griffin), stud WR (Blackmon, Floyd, Jeffrey) and stud RB (Richardson), depending on how things shake out in the NFL draft. I'm going to be moving things around in the off-season, but really need to wait until the draft gets closer.

stevegrab
Rarely see off season trading in our leauge this time of year. Things get going in late July, then August as things are more clear. But we did have on trade (5 man keeper no limits/contracts), guy traded AP for draft picks (a #2 this year, swapping slots from 11 to 9, and a conditional pick [2 or 4 round] in 2013. Not sure who got the better deal there, will depend on what AP is like the rest of his career.

Wow what a difference a couple of months make ,,, the injury has dropped AP 30 spots in your league if this trade goes thru

If 14 teams like mine then I hold to what I said above if say 10 teams then I don't know who gets the better even if AP only misses a couple of games ? If 12 team league he still drops a couple spots but not that much
MustOfBeenDrunk
We really need a dynasty forum because I'm sure those who don't play in them think were crazy Of course those who only play in redrafts, most likely are not on the boards this time of the year

Bush). But he's been building a good team through trading, acquring extra picks, etc. He led the league in total points by a wide margin, and lost in the title game. I think this trade gives him more ammo to use in drafting, and he'll continue to be good (has Stafford, some good WR [b. Marshall, Branch, S. Smith, Boldin] and Jimmy Graham). He's getting scary good and these kind of trades usually favor him long term. As I said most owners in our league will not even talk trades now, not sure how common that is in dynasty/keeper leagues. Most just feel there's too much uncertainty and therefore risk.
keggerz
Our trading doesn't open until the day after the NFL SB, but there's already several negotiations going on. One owner PMed me bragging about a deal that he's already defined with another owner and how it makes him good enough to compete with me. You sent yourself a PM
