CaptainHook
Anybody else catch this? Marshall Faulk was by far one of my favorite Colts. It broke my heart when Polian traded him for a second and a fifth round draft pick. While there have been better pure running backs, I would be hard pressed to pick a guy over him at the running back position. He could do it all. I really wonder what would have happened if Marshall and Manning played together for another 5 years. Faulk shares a lot of the blame for why he traded . . . but man, he was fun to watch. Pope Flick
I won my local's first super bowl when he got benched Week 161998 for the first half in a game for missing a bus or meeting. That's my Colts memory of him. And not sure how different the Colts woulda been with him and Manning instead of James and Manning. James was just fine those years Faulk ripped it up in St Louis and it appears like a wash.

He tore up his knee in his third year, and was never the same dominating force as he was. The Rams only got three years out of Marshall before injuries set in. But they were three great years! I just shake my head every time I think that they traded him for a second and a fifth. Ridiculous. The show mentioned that the Ravens had offered quite a bit more for Marshall, but Polian wanted to trade him out of the conference.
