The only thing is RGIII had a better completion percentage and higher YPA and threw for more yards this past season. This doesn't even count his outstanding rushing ability. The other trait is arm strength and release time. On film it sure looks like RGIII has more arm velocity and a much quicker release. He is a bit more sidearm which is a concern and does come from a spread formation scheme similar to Newton.

And how often do Heisman trophy winners bust in the NFL? I don't think he'll bust, but I don't think he'll continue the same level of dominance in the NFL.

Griffin on the other hand, offers morerisk/reward, and IMO, the reward of having a guy who can easily get you 4-6 points just on the ground (not to mention 2 more points per rushing TDs in many leagues), outweighs the risk of injury, that's lessened by his ability to throw first like pro-coaches want you to.
I guess some of it depends on how risk-averse you are, but I just don't see enough risk to outweigh his HUGH upside to keep drives alive and pile on the FF points with his legs.

Troy Smith 2006
Matt Leinart 2004
Jason White 2003 ( who?)
Chris Weinke 2000
should I continue?

Griffin has a much higher ceiling, but has a higher chance of failing you, or getting hurt. I don't think Luck will ever be the top scoring QB, but could be a fine starter for 10+ years.
I'd go with Griffin.
And knocking Griffin because he played in the Big 10 is perhaps the most asinine evaluation I've ever heard. When was the last time a QB had pinpoint precision down field, ran a 4.3/4.4 40, and had graduated before his last season in the NCAA?

The answer is Steve Grogan.

RG3 for fantasy football has a much much higher ceiling but also a much greater bust potential.
I would take RG3 over luck. I would rather swing for the fences and get the HR than talk a walk.
