BearBroncos
Interesting move here! I don't understand this much, unless they've lost faith already in Rudolph and Shianco.

BearBroncos
5yrs $25 million for a blocking TE Actually, if he can protect Ponder better, he'd be worth every dime but I didn't think they lacked a whole hell of allot with ablocking TE's, accept Rudolph blowing some coverages. I thought their O line and their pass protection was lacking more, as well as a decent FB blocker.

bushwacked
He never struck me as a great blocker during his days in Seattle, never really struck me as much of anything after a promising rookie year.
MikesVikes
We didn't even need a poison pill this time. Shianco is gone, Rudolph is going to be da man. Carlson is returning to his routes.
piratesownninjas
Maybe we're seeing the first team to try and copy the Pats offense, having two TE's and Harvin being the entire passing offense.
godtomsatan
5yrs $25 million for a blocking TE He's not a blocking TE. Or at least, not a very good one. He fell out of favor with Pete Carroll's regime for sure, but he also relatively underwhelmed after a promising first season. He's from Minnesota, so I get playing for the Vikings, but $11mil guaranteed?

Seahawks21
I can't definitively say he is the worst blocking TE in the NFL, but he is certainly top-5. 100% receiving specialist, and not a fast one or one that possesses great hands. Wayyyyy too much to pay for a very mediocre player.
