Papajohn
DeSean Jackson is a genius. He realised that in a contract year it is all about underperforming and moping! Pay the man!

Pope Flick
As a Maclin Dynasty owner I approve.
ebartender
Well considering he was going to get $9.5M under the franchise tag and this deal is only worth $18M in guaranteed money I say it was a good deal for the Eagles. I just hope it doesn;t turn into a TO situation where after a year he wants to re-do the deal.

Wpob
As a Maclin Dynasty owner I approve. Same here. I was a little worried if Jackson left or got traded how maclin could handle the #1 role. Now he can go back to seeing single coverage. Hazzah!
piratesownninjas
Just curious as to how this goes over in the locker room. DeSean Jackson quits on his team, pouts, and plays horrible and gets 51 million. Meanwhile, Evan Mathis, one of the better guards in the league is allowed to walk. This sets an interesting example for players with contracts coming up in Philly.

tazinib1
I don't believe anyone signed Mathis yet. What is to say they Eagles don't sign him? I think Baltimore is a strong candidate to steal Mathis away from Philly.
ebartender
Eagles signed Mathis to 5 year deal. Now they need to extend McCoy and hopefully bring in a MLB or safety. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7702460/2012-nfl-free-agency-philadelphia-eagles-evan-mathis-agree-five-year-deal
