Why should they consult with Sanchez about bringing in Tebow?

In an era when every star influences the direction of a team, it's refreshing to see a coach slap him up the head and tell him what's up. I'm getting pretty tired of coaches having to MARSHMELLOW foot around the emotions and feelings of players. Nice job, Rex.

Brentastic
Don't encourage him. He doesn't need encouragement to be a loud mouth. I dunno, I like Rex. The media puts all these guys (players and coaches) in an unfair position and aside from not doing what they love (coaching or playing), it's out of the players/coaches control. He is who he is and I would like to play for a coach like him. Obviously there are some discipline issues with the team, but IIRC, this is Ryan's 1st HC gig. I think he'll figure it out. Either way, I'm sick of the coaches who are mute robots on camera. Football is a passionate and physical sport that requires a lot of emotion and I think Rex brings that. I agree with the above, so far as Sanchez should not have been allowed to weigh in on the decision, but I can see where it would have been nice if he found out from the coach or front office, rather than the media. I would have loved someone to tweet Brees with "your explanation has already been provided, you don't need anything more than anyone else does". stevegrab
I don't see anything wrong with that, he's right. Why should they consult with Sanchez about bringing in Tebow? I was joking pretty much. But can see where a player is upset over it. They are signed to a big extension, told they are the starter, then the team signs a media frenzy like Tebow. And for Revis to criticize Belichick who's won 3 SB, while his coach hasn't even gotten to a SB yet is hilarious. I agree with Rex, it isn't Sanchez's business and he doesn't need to be "consulted". But also think its nice if somebody from the team tells "key" players about these kind of things, rather than them hearing it from the media.
