Ok back to the drawing board I think I can aquire Chris Johnson for Wells and pick 1.05 in a 12 team PPR league

Will Chris Johnson bounce back ?  Is trading Wells and pick 1+.05 worth it ?

Johnson will be 27 at the start of the season and he promptly gave up as soon as he got his big contract (or at least it certainly came across that way).  He could bounce back.  He was very good before then, but I just don't trust him at all.  I would rather take my chances with Wells and 1.05.

I would say yes. I just think there is no way CJ would or could play THAT bad simply because he got paid. If he was injured or just out of shape we may never know, but I think there has to some other reason that had to play a factor in his play beside getting paid.

I am not too big on Wells anyway, so I think a 1.05 pick and Wells is a reasonable price to play for this risk/reward scenario. Even if CJ doesn't perform exactly like he used to he will still do.

i would do that trade. i agree that there was something going on behind the scenes last year and i see CJ2K bouncing back. might not be 2000+ total yards CJ2K, but I think he should be back in the 1500+ total yards range. wells is VERY frail and ryan williams will return this season to cut into his carries. 1.05 is a good pick but not a great one.

Wells also battled through injuries and performed well on a dumpster fire offense.
Reports were that Ryan Willians knee cap was floating in his thigh at the time of his injury, and I read that he was about 70% in March.  Even if he's healthy, expecting Va Tech Ryan Williams is a risky gamble.  He'll more than likely not ever be the back that he was when he was drafted.

I traded Wells for what I believe to be a top 4 pick in 2012 so I won't be adding him to this deal.

So now the deal would be 1.05, Manningham and my 2013 1st (Should be 8-12) I had pick 12/11 the last 2 years.

So now is it worth it ?

Also as a little twist when I made the Wells trade I picked up the 1st round pick in 2013 of the guy who owns Chris Johnson so taking him also makes my 2013 pick better next year.

Johnson is the kind of guy you should be after if you are playing with the house's money, yes.  If you have good depth, and aren't counting on him as a starter, and giving up the picks isn't leaving the cupboard bare, then by all means acquire a guy that could easily be the #1 FF RB for the next 5 years.

I just completed the deal for Chris Johnson.

I gave up picks 5-23-24 this year and My 2013 1st round pick and My 3rd round picks in 2013 and 2014.

Seems like a lot but my 2013 should be from 8-12 and the 3rd round picks should be from 32-36 each year.
