...now stinkbugs
Anyone else on the east coast having these infestation issues? I expect frogs or locusts any day now.

I have fire ants all over the place in my garden. The shack is bug free. Probably because the great outdoors are cleaner.

No bugs here, but I'm expecting California to break off and fall into the ocean any day now.

Yep, there's a real boom in stink bugs happening with no natural enemies, and they're becoming a real nuisance for crops. Search stink bugs and you'll find some stories...
The thing that's really pissing me off, in addition to having kudzu that's in the process of literally overtaking our yard, is these tiny "kudzu stink bugs" that have invaded Georgia this year, that when they get on you have the same pungent odor as if you'd gone out to pull kudzu, and it doesn't come off of your skin, even after several washes. Little bastards flock by the dozens to the vines, making it even more of a pain in the ass to control.
Curse the men who introduced these bugs and that god-forsaken roided-out plant.

Weird thing about frogs BTW, is they seem to have evacuated Georgia. We used to catch tons of them when we were kids, but for the last 5 years, I barely remember seeing any, both in North GA and the deep south...

We have fire ants in the back yard but other than that no increase in bug activities here in North Kakalaka. Although, I've already caught and released 4 snakes from our yard. I left the gardener snakes here and took the copperheads down to the creek nearby.
