NFl Schedule to be released at 7PM

Recommended Posts

If anyone cares or is as bored as I am during this NFL dead time. Post it here if you end up with a link before I do, but there's a special they're doing at 7 on TV I think.

The early leak is that the Steelers will visit the Broncos for the first Sunday night game of the season.

Also there was this 2012 Strength of Schedule that came out from ESPN, that bodes quite well for the Pats and Packers.

Weird, Falcons play their first 3 games all against the AFC West, including MNF in week 2 against the Broncos and Manning. The NFL/media is making sure they get 2 prime-time games out of Manning early on...

I'm pleased with our draw with the AFC West and NFC East, but the South is gonna be dirty...

(ETA: wow, does the Broncos schedule look tough. Talking to Fox now on NFLN)

That's pretty cool that most of their games are on TV. Must be because they are Super Bowl champs.

On another board where I follow NFL broadcasting there was a lot of discussion of the schedule. One of the interesting general observations were related to divisonal matchups. How some teams didn't play their first game with a division opponent until late in the year (CLE-PIT week 12, HOU-IND in week 15, then again 2 weeks later, PIT-BAL wks 11 & 13 , etc.) and others who wrap up a division series in the first half of the season (CLE-CIN by week 6, also CLE-BAL, NYG-DAL, etc.)

Somebody speculated that large clumbs of division games are occuring because of the new "Every team will play one Thurdsay game" thing
