(RotoWire) Dawkins announced his retirement from the NFL Monday, the Denver Post reports. Analysis: Dawkins played 16 seasons and was well known as a hard hitting safety for both the Eagles and Broncos. He finished his career with 624 tackles, 26 sacks, 37 interceptions and 28 forced fumbles, while making nine Pro Bowls.
