Like to hear what other leagues do. When should we have our rookie Draft and when should the League draft happen?

Need more details - is this a startup dynasty or keeper or is it a redraft league? Is it an existing dynasty or keeper where teams already have a roster?

I have a 10 man re-draft leage and we always draft the weekend before labor day. Since we always have a solid draft party, it's the latest weekend we can get together and avoid all the family/social obligations that come up during the following weekend.

Although it would be nice to have one more pre-season game under your belt, a draft that weekend provides you have enough games and information to make educated decisions. I think anything earlier calls for to much speculation.

Dy Another Day- BoTH 16-team dynasty just kicked off it's start-up vet draft on April 30th.  In hindsight, I probably should have kicked it off on Sunday night when more folks would be available.

Rookie draft starts 3rd week in May on a Sunday this time.

Sorry,  we have a 16 team league with 3 keepers each season out of a roster of 15 on each team and 9 starters.  
We have a "keep a rookie on the roster" rule  and ran the rookie draft sometime before the regular rule to get guys back into the football mood. Guess I just wanted to see when other leagues start their Drafts and Rookie Drafts.  I feel it's  a bit early right now, guys are still in the Hockey mood. But I'm hoping to pick the best time to do ours.
