Junior Seau Dead

Just hearing it break on my local sports talk radio KNBR 68 in SF....gunshot heard at his home no idea if suicide or robbery or what...very sad news either way.

 

RIP Junior.

ESPN's website has yet to post anything about it. I bet they would be up to the minute about Tim Tebow farting.

 

Probably making sure the sources are credible. This isn't the kind of impacting story you just retweet cause it sounds legit.

I wonder if he took the same approach as D. Duerson who shot himself in the heart in order to preserve his brain for testing? The testing showed '"moderately advanced" case of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a degenerative brain disease associated with repeated blows to the head."

 

No one can explain why Seau shot himself, but the idea that he mentally fell apart as a result (maybe in large part) of concussions and repeated brain trauma is really scary.

He did shot himself in the chest per the latest I am hearing on radio.

That was my very first thought as well. I think it was a real mistake letting out the knowledge that CTE could only be tested for after death. I hope that these deaths doesn't prompt more ex-players to go the same route.
