Any improvements I could make? Thanks! http://games.espn.go...?leagueId=17719 I have never used ESPN so I am not familiar at all with where stuff is listed....with that said, I love the old time pics from a nostalgic pov, but from a user perspective there are waaaaaay to many of them to scroll thru to get to the meat of things. Tford
Too skinny on the tackle scoring for my likings. Tackles stats are your bread and butter for scoring, like yards for skill positions. If you don't score them enough, it's like playing in a touchdown only league IMO.

n1ttanystee1ers
Tford, perhaps make tackles at 1.2 instead of 1 (assisted at .6 instead of .5)?

keggerz
Tford, perhaps make tackles at 1.2 instead of 1 (assisted at .6 instead of .5)? that is a negligible increase.... if you want take a look at the scoring in this league (2pts solo, 1 assist, 3 pts for a sack, 4 pts for an INT & 1.5 for a pass defended) http://football19.myfantasyleague.com/2012/options?L=16803&O=08 I just think that a baseline of less than 2pts/tackle 1/assist is a bit to low so I would tweak from there but that is just me...also, fwiw, the scoring system we use for huddle articles is solo tackle (2), assisted tackle (1), sack (3), forced or recovered fumble (3), interception (3) and pass defended (1). n1ttanystee1ers
I'm more in the camp of tackles-for-a-LOSS (stuffs) being quite more than just a mere tackle. IDPs getting awarded more on a basis of big plays. 1.2 is about the highest that I would want a regular solo tackle. 3 for a stuff and 4 for a sack (5 for a safety). Anything returned for a TD of course at 6 points, 4 for each and INT and forced fumble. I do agree with you on 2pt for passes-defensed. Also, you don't think 10-teams is too small, do you? I only play in 16 team leagues but with that said, any size league can be made to work and still be fun

When I set up my league initially, goal was to have the stud LB pretty much of equal value to a stud RB and go from there. It has worked out quite well. I wouldn't go anything lower than 2 points per tackle and 1 point per assist. If you wanted to award an extra point for a "stuff", that sounds good. Just my two cents. keggerz
FWIW here are some numbers to chew on...note these are totals for the 2011 reg. season: Solos: 20906 Assists: 7666 Tackles for a loss: 2350 Sacks: 1179 Passes Defended: 2438 Interceptions:
Kris N
i know on MFL they let you adjust the points and then you can see how all the stats from last season were affected to double check your scoring system. I originally had our dynasty IDP set at 1 pt tackle and .5 for assist. the defensive players are irrelevant with that setup. We now have it set at 1.5 and .75, which doesnt sound like a big change but it upped the LBs and tackle heavy safeties into fantasy relevance. 2 points and 1 point made the IDP guys even if not better than a top 10 WR or RB, which is not something our league wanted. we view the IDP guys as important but we still wanted it tilted more towards the offensive guys (we starts 8 offense and 8 defense plus a kicker). the scoring will depend on what you and your league mates like and how you want it to play out.
