A lot of these were expected to be honest but it's good to see some DE value being generated by these position changes.
For the rookies:
Courtney Upshaw getting the T Suggs treatment was nice to see. His rookie value got a nice bump. Same with Bruce Irvin although that was more expected. Ingram, Mercilus and Perry were all expected to get tagged as LBs, no surprises there. Chandler Jones and Shea McClellin both stay at DE despite early reports that both may be asked to stand up at certain points. I expect both to remain DEs.
For the vets:
Wake and Wimbley ending up as 4-3 ends was expected although Miami seems hesitant to commit fully to the 4-3. There is some uncertainty as to how that would be addressed. Sounds like Rotoworld is buying the 4-3 story. Same deal in Buffalo which sees three LBs go to DE (Mario Williams, Chris Kelsay and Shawne Merriman) and two five-technique ends go to tackles (Marcell Dareus and Dwan Edwards). Robert Mathis' value takes a huge hit with his move to 3-4 OLB; one we saw coming but surprisingly enough, Dwight Freeney stays at DE. I don't understand why Freeney wasn't moved and Hughes/Mathis were. Perhaps Rotoworld thinks that Freeney is getting traded. Long story short, if you think that Freeney stays a Colt, now might be the time to trade him. If you think he gets moved, maybe try to sell the position move angle to get a cheaper price.
