The only knock on him has ever been over-confidence in his arm that gets him into trouble. Talk about Tebow being a winner? Stafford was born a winner, so I'm glad to see him giving something back... Tebow organized and provided substantial financing for the construction of a $3M children's hospital in the Phillipines, and the Tim Tebow Foundation has raised over $2,5M to build playrooms in children's hospitals in the US and various locations around the world, supports the W1SH program that provides support for former high school athletes who have suffered serious health issues/injuries, and he also provides substantial support for orphanages. I don't want to turn this into a Tebow-based pissing contest,or diminish Stafford's actions - which by any account are outstanding. But seriously guys, get a clue and give it a freakin' rest. Prop up Stafford and others for their exemplary behavior, but stop with the backhanded non-football related shots at Tebow. You can read more about his efforts here: Tim Tebow Foundation. You can also make a donation at the site, and they're happy to take anything for the cause, even as little as $1. delusions of grandeur Posted May 26, 2012 Share Posted May 26, 2012 1) it was said in a joking manner, 2) whether I think a guy is a "winner" or not (and nowhere did I say Tebow isn't) has absolutely nothing to do with his charitable contributions, but nonetheless "I'm glad to see him giving something back", 3) I'm a UGA homer so I can assure you I'm not a fan of Tebow for purely football reasons, but nowhere was that even implied here by anyone. But I agree BB, I wouldn't have even brought up the chosen one's name if I thought this was going to turn into another thread about Tebow. Lighten up.
