This is a 12 team keeper league. At 3.3 I will need to select a QB to start. Brady, Bree's and Rodgers will be gone and Newton, Stafford and Eli will be kept. Scoring is 1 pt every 25 yards, 6 pt passing tds, bonus over 300 yards, 1 point every 10 rush/rec. There is also no int penalty. Who would you rather have as your starter this year?

I like Vick, but not by a mile. I think Rivers will have a nice year considering his weapons (Matthews, Gates, Meechum, and Floyd) and schedule. However, I think Vick will also have a nice year and his upside is higher. My auction draft strategy is to draft Vick for $15-20 and Cutler for $5. (In a snake draft you should be able to get Vick in the 5th and Cutler in the 10-11th).

I would take Romo by a very small margin over Rivers. He has better weapons and is more versatile in the red zone. Their yards should be close this year. Rivers lost Jackson and Gates is getting too long in the tooth given health issues.  I look for Mathews to have a pretty big year on the ground.

I like Vick but simply too much risk of injury given the defenses and his desire to hold the ball and run.

I didn't like what I saw in Rivers who had more attempts than ever last year and his fewest TD's since 07-08. His accuracy took a hit and his INT's were off the charts. I expect them to reign him in some this season and run the ball as his WR's are weaker than before.

Romo was the third most accurate QB last season in the league. I look for them to be in plenty of shootouts.  I actually like Romo as a top 5 QB this season just ahead of Stafford.

That said it is close.

I would wait til the end of round 4 to pick the QB.  You already said 1/2 the teams will already have a QB so get a RB/WR in the 3rd and grab the QB in the 4th.  WIth no INT's then i would rank them Vick, Rivers, Romo....but dont forget about Matt Ryan and Josh Freeman (his 20+ int's were bad but those wont affect your scoring), and you could probably get them in the 5th and 6th, respectively.

Rivers and Romo are a tossup.
Vick can do a lot of damage with Maclin and Jackson..and with his legs.

Vick...but get a backup in case of injury.

if u take vick, then i would look at a upper tier backup like cutler, freeman, schaub, flacco, dalton......cuz you will need them for at least 2 weeks when vick is hurt, not just a bye week fill in game.

I had Vick last year and he haunted me all season. FYI  - I am keeping J. Jones for a 5th, J. Nelson for a 12th and Redman for an 11th. If Rice holdouts then everything changes assuming Foster and McCoy go 1-2. Then my pick at 1.3 may become Rodgers or Calvin. 2.10 and 3.3 then become a RB and then QB/WR depending on 1st pick.
