bushwacked
I'm sure he was also charged with reckless driving. This doesn't sound sensible...Link? How often do cops charge someone with reckless driving when they already got them for DUI? I think you are getting confused on how DUIs will often get plea deals and negotiated down to negligent or reckless. ETA: I should have read the next posts I guess. I know all the articles state he was charged with a DUI and don't mention any underlying offences. I just find it hard to believe that he was not also cited for the moving violations (speeding, failure to keep in lanes, reckless driving) that provided the officers probable cause to make the stop. Bushwacked, to answer your question, I was a prosecutor that spent 1 1/2 years in a DUI/Traffic courtroom so I'm pretty familiar with how Chicago/Illinois Troopers charged DUIs. They ALWAYS cite the defendant for the underlying moving violations and subsequent DUI. I tried to find the actual arrest report on-line but no dice. But Flemings point is well taken, Godell will likely launch him conviction or not.

Bronco Billy
BB, I'll give Wisconsinites their just deserts. Nobody can polish off 8-10 old fashions and safely operate their snow mobile like you guys can! In the middle of summer and on the interstate, no less! efi4eye
Honestly though... have you seen this guy off the football field? He's the stereotype of a hyphy Oakland thug / idiot. I know football players aren't getting paid to be role models, but dude is more than just a little bit off. Didn't he "ghost ride the whip" with an injury cart at Cal? bushwacked
Lynch was in bay area to award a scholarship to a gunshot victim; which doesn't really fit the thug/idiot stereotype.

You can spray paint a turd gold, which makes it look a whole lot better but doesn't change what it essentially is. Just sayin'
bostonsoxandy
Goodell needs to start coming down hard on all these players with legal troubles. Not the look any league wants. Must be 30 or 40 arrests so far this off-season. Also, getting arrested is a gigantic red flag for me. Not just a three-game suspension or whatever. Usually means they have character and commitment problems most of the time, I'll let them be somebody else's problem every time.
