buddahj
Just great. I also heard Desmond Bishop went off on a cart with some sort of a knee injury & R. Matthews left with a shoulder injury. Edited August 10, 2012 by buddahj

Footballjoe
So how soon before the annual "Preseason games are a waste of time" talk starts.
timozbuck
Man it is thin behind him...who do you think would backup Redman if Dwyer's inj is serious? Steelers homer here...Baron Batch would most likely be next in line. He was the talk of camp last season before he tore his acl.

NavinRJohnson
Mathews out 4 to 6 weeks with a broken clavicle. And back to the rankings... DMD, is there going to be a player raking movement page this year? It's been helpful in the past.
DMD
We stopped doing the positional change page because it was time intensive and almost no one was reading it. We still have the arrows on the cheatsheets. Could look into it again but it just was never very popular.
Scooby's Hubby
DMD, is there going to be a player raking movement page this year? It's been helpful in the past. Hey Navin, is that a picture of "$hithead" in your avitar? I love that line out of The Jerk.
NavinRJohnson
Glad to be the only one reading an unpopular page. I'm a Jerk. That page was helpful to me because I typically use your early projections then do my own adjustments as the preseason rolls along. Your positional change pages were great one-stop shopping spots to get updates with reasoning. I like to think I subscribe for this reasoning and these "time intensive" tools. To replace them with ARROWS?.....child please. Scooby...that $hithead is my pup who is now 10 years old and looks not at all like that pic! DMD
We did not replace them with arrows - those were always there. The reasonings are still recorded on the writeups for the players as updates. The only thing we don't do are those updates on one page per position. They still exist on players writeups. I was just quoting a line from the movie "The Jerk" where his dog barks and he thinks his dog is saying fire, then he gets everyone to evacuate the hotel falsely. An asian guy says to Steve Martin (Navin R Johnson) and says, "hey mister, I know a name for your dog, call him $hithead". I assumed that because your name is Navin R Johnson you got that from the movie "The Jerk" and would get that I was quoting a line from the movie. I wasn;t calling your dog a $hithead in any other way, just quoting the movie, LoL. Edited August 11, 2012 by Scooby's Hubby

DMD, OK I've tried the new way for a while and...it's not good. Following the arrows to the updates on the players page is really a pain. If they were all in one place as they used to be (one page per position), I am sure that more folks would see the reasoning behind your arrows. Please consider bringing that feature back. After all, the updated player movement in the rankings is the reason for the pre-season isn't it? Why bury it?
