irish
It's getting late in the draft, they're all available, who are you taking? Moreso, between Helu and Royster.

Trots
Royster, but not thrilled about it. Helu seems too injury-prone.

lennykravitz2004
Royster. Helu has the explosiveness, but also what Darth Shanny loathes - fumbleitis. Royster turns out to be a TD v2.0. In actuality, the "new guy" is probably 3rd or 4th on the depth chart right now.
Zooty
Mike Goodson, Bernard Scott, anyone not on the Redskins

Seahawks21
I'll take 'em both if they're there late. That way, you should figure to get a starter except for the weeks where Shanahan changes his mind during the second drive of the game. bostonsoxandy
Royster because that is who Redskins front office has been crowing about most recently.

WashingtonD
PPR - Helu Non PPR - Hightower I think their love for Royster will fade quickly They'd love Hightower to be the guy if his knee holds up, will be interesting to watch the next preseason games and the cuts on Monday which will add some clarity to this. bostonsoxandy
And just when you thought it would atleast be one of these three... Redskins rookie RB Alfred Morris rushed 14 times for 107 yards and a touchdown in Washington's third preseason game Saturday night against Indianapolis. He also caught a pass for six yards, although Tim Hightower replaced Morris on the heavy majority of passing downs. Morris lacks short-area burst and long speed, but he is a sturdy, balanced runner who plays physical and is clearly gaining momentum in an otherwise injury-riddled Redskins backfield. Through three preseason weeks, Morris has 39 carries for 195 yards (5.0 YPC), and Saturday night's goal-line score. While his talent isn't going to wow anyone, Morris is squarely in the mix to start in Week 1 against the Saints. Coach Mike Shanahan confirmed following Saturday night's preseason game that Alfred Morris is squarely in the hunt for the Redskins' Week 1 starting running back job. Morris is averaging five yards per preseason carry. But most importantly, he's stayed upright and healthy while Roy Helu (Achilles' tendons) and Evan Royster (knees) have succumbed to injury. Tim Hightower continues to recover from last year's ACL tear. "Said this from day one, we're gonna play the best players," said Shanahan. "(Morris) may be the lonely soldier. He did play well." per Rotoworld

DMD
Look at the bottom of the RBBC Report. For the last two years since Shanahan has been there, each season there have been four different backs which have been the primary in a game that season. When they are the primary, they do pretty well since it is not really a sharing situation inside a game, it is just that every week can be different. Last year no back was the primary for more than 6 games. Three of those return - Helu, Hightower and Royster and now the Morris guy just ensures we get yet another year of four backs. I would not touch it. You don't have to.
irish
Couldn't help myself. Grabbed Hightower in the 12th round of a 16 team league and after the game tonight grabbed Morris with my 13th rounder. Meanwhile, another owner in the same league rostered both Helu and Royster. All saddled up for another one of Crazy Skeletor's ride through Fantasy Hell!
Brentastic
I'm with DMD on this one. After drafting Hightower/Helu last season, I'm over the headache. Too many other options to have to resort. If you must, you need to grab both Helu AND Royster in that order, imo. IF you don't have both, you will hate life.

However, it was getting late in my one 16-teamer and options are slim, if either Hightower or Morris end up being the guy, which is very risky, than I got a #1 RB in the 12th/13th round, 200 picks into the draft. Can't beat that, especially when I have McCoy, Sproles, Turner and Ballard drafted before them. Edited August 26, 2012 by irish
