5 RBs, who to deal and for what?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, first time on the forums. Liked a lot of the chat going around, hopefully you can help me out. I'm in a 16 person auction draft league, did pretty well, and have found myself with 5 rbs: Doug Martin, McGahee, Benson, Green and Isaac Redman.

My WRS are also pretty solid for a 16 person league: Heyward Bay, Wayne, Torrey Smith, and Burleson (although I might drop him and take a chance on LaFell in Carolina).'

TE: Jacob Tamme

My QB is Big Ben.

Who should I deal, if anybody, and what should I ask for? Scoring below.

OK, so I've never played in a 16 team league, but I don't think you've got such great RBs that I'd consider that a position of strength. I guess Martin is a RB1 in a league that size, but really just barely.

Same with your WRs. No real WR1s and 3 guys who could end up being nice WR2s.

Honestly, I'm curious what you spent your money on.

Yeah, 16 teams is tough. The talent is really thin. The RB1s went really quick and for really high prices. Ray Rice went for $82 and Chris Johnson for $68. As it's a keeper league, and I wound up starting from scratch, my goal was to get solid producers at depth.

My draft:

Doug Martin $28

Roethlisberger $17

Shonn Greene $26

Torrey Smith $14

Reggie Wayne $13

Isaac Redman $21

Willis McGahee $37

Darrius Heyward Bey $15

Cedric Benson $5

Jacob Tamme $9

Matt Flynn $3

Garrett Hartley $2

Denver DEF $1

Nate Burleson $2

For the price, nobody worth keeping. I splashed on Jamaal Charles last year and Dez Bryant. For the price of keeping, felt I could get similar production at a cheaper rate for Bryant, and the price tag on Charles was 3x what he went for in this year's draft, so felt like I made the right decision there too. I picked up Randall Cobb off waivers, but they wouldn't let me keep him.

Any thoughts on moves I might/should make?
