irish
Not a hugh impact fantasy-wise as he is ranked 21st on the Huddle list but much higher on other sites. The Huddle knew better. 22 year-old rookie kicker, Justin Tucker will be the Ravens' kicker. Edited August 26, 2012 by irish
irish
Question about kicker projections- DMD had Cundiff projected for 113 pts on the season and Tucker with 44 pts. Now that Cundiff was cut and Tucker has the job, does that mean Tucker's projection for the year would be over 150 pts and close to 160? If so, he would be the 2nd ranked kicker after Akers here. Yes?
Scooby's Hubby
If BALT had called a time out before Cundiff's miss instead of hurrying up to kick, then I don;t think Cundiff misses that kick and he would still have his job in BALT. marcheese
I was at the Brown's and Ravens game in Cleveland last year with a few friends in a keeper auction league when Cundiff missed two 30-yard field goals. Oh the laughs we had.. Then in our auction draft yesterday, I threw out the joke for one of my buddies to draft Cundiff. Oh the laughs we had... One hour later we read that Cundiff was released. Oh the laughs we had...

White lightning
Billy was my college kicker. Good guy, and I agree with Scooby that he the down/clock situation definately threw him off.
irish
Its a freaking kicker True but this time of year I see all kinds of idiotic moves made by owners taking Bullock or Cundiff and not having updated info.

Furd
As opposed to running back, Billy Cundiff?

The Waterboy
Its a freaking kicker This is valid. But I actually need some help on kickers for the first time ever, as silly as that sounds. One of my leagues changed their rules...supidly...so everyone carries two DST and Ks. What that means is the wire is really threadbare and if you don't have a halfway decent one, you're going to be constantly searching for some consistency through the bottom 8, unless someone gets injured and you have a good waiver pick. I hadn't realized this and wound up with Cundiff and Lawrence Tynes in thelast two rounds. Ouch. Now, of course, like DST, there's always guys who pop out of nowhere to be a top 12 starting kicker....but generally less so with K than with DST, if you look at the high scorers, year after year, you see a lot of the same team's kickers (even if their kickers change). Houston, SF, Oakland, New England, NO....you just know they will be the best... and maybe only by 20-40 points more than the guys on the wire, but that's 2 or 3 PPG I'll take. I'm interested, does anyone think there's a sleeper team or kicker that is about to have a good year? -I put in a waiver bid for Shayne Graham...... -BAL is one of those teams that always could be fringe, I feel so maybe I'll pick up Tucker -Maybe SEA is as option....if you look at Steven Hauschka in the second half, plus Russell Wilson looks like he may make them relavant. -The new kid on STL is interesting if thei roffense bounces back and they let him routinely try and nail FGs from 45+ (those count as 6 for me)

The Browns are one team that seems to fit this over the last few years (aided by a kicker that is very accurate from long distance). So maybe you want to look at the teams themselves, and see what kind of numbers show for FG vs. XP attempts.
