Grits and Shins
I know that ATL has Roddy White and Julio Jones to catch the ball ... but last year Gonzo was still getting it done and ranked 3rd among TEs in this particular league with 115 targets, 79 catches for 867 yards and 7 touchdowns. Huddle has him projected 9th overall with 68 receptions, 780 yards and 7 touchdowns. I had a draft tonight (TE required league) where Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski were kept and 8 other TEs were drafted before Gonzo (Gates, Hernandez, Finley, FDavis, Witten, VDavis, Olsen and Pettigrew). Gonzo last until the 6th round (really the 9th round when you consider everybody kept 3 players).
irish
I loved the Gonzo pick and the Falcons are going to be pass happy. However, there are a lot of weapons there, White, Julio, Rodgers now. TGon should've gone before Olsen and Pettigrew on that list IMO. But Gonzo is going in about the 9th round in 12 teamers.
Brentastic
I won't be drafting him. One of these years is gonna be his last and presumably worst. I actually stopped drafting him a few years ago.

And you missed several good years. 2011- #3 TE 2010- #11 TE 2009- #5 TE 2008- #1 TE 2007- #2 TE
Seahawks21
He was huge for me last year, allowed me to get gold for Graham. I took him as my starter this year, but made sure I took an upside backup (Fleener) just in case.
CaptainHook
Fleener has not looked good. He has dropped a lot of balls in camp and a few in games . . . and he's not much of a blocker.
stevegrab
He was a great pick last year, vastly outperforming his ADP. I was happy to have him when I picked, thinking he'd still put up decent numbers. He was a pleasant surprise. I suppose some year he could finally fall off, but for what he costs you I think he's still a bargain. I'll be looking at him again if he's available in the right spot. Brentastic
And you missed several good years. 2011- #3 TE 2010- #11 TE 2009- #5 TE 2008- #1 TE 2007- #2 TE Agreed, luckily I had Gates or Gronk or Hernandez! One thing is for sure, I'd rather be too early on the trend reversal than too late! Much like my stock market strategy. Like with TGonz, I was not hurt by avoiding him because I went in another direction altogether. Whoever drafts him in a season when age finally catches up with him, they are going to be hurting. stethant
I'll be looking at him again if he's available in the right spot. I took him in the 9th round of a 12-team standard league draft this weekend. He was the 8th TE taken and I was pleased with where I got him. The difference in TE points from 1-3 and 3-20, last year notwithstanding, isn't very great in this league so even if he's a bit off the "hurt" shouldn't be too bad. The upside as the "forgotten" player with defenders chasing Jones and White around more than makes up for his age, IMO.
Grits and Shins
4 weeks in ... looks like he was underrated ... of course there is still plenty of time for him to fall off
delusions of grandeur
i dont think hes done but hes certainly not a top 10 TE anymore No he's sure not, he's still a top 3 TE at the moment. With the shape he keeps himself in, the dude could probably play until he's 40. He's also still Ryan's safety valve and a favored redzone target. Against the Panters, he reportedly saw double-coverage along with Julio while Roddy had a monster game. You don't double-cover washed up TEs. DuckDuckGoose
He has value unlike Gates far from done.

stevegrab
Drafted him last year after all the "studs" and was hoping to do the same this year. Far from done, and easily still a top 5 TE.
