shredder1
Why does The Huddle think that the Pack's defense will go from sh*t to sugar in one season? Anyone else feel the same way?
Bronco Billy
Big difference between NFL leading Ds and FF leading Ds. GB is a turnover, high pressure focused D. They'll also get tons of opportunity as other teams have to take chances and throw a lot more to keep up with the GB O. That spells FF gold, even though it will be rough on the stats for NFL ranking purposes.
lennykravitz2004
Ever see the end of "The Men Who Stare at Goats"? Let's just say the drinkin' water in the Huddle's office is a little... "funny".

Good info, but I also think the Huddle expects their D (FF scoring) to improve because they were not this high last year. It also has a lot to do with what kind of defensive scoring your league uses. Some give huge points based on points scored, others do fewer or no points for that. No doubt that some teams are turnover and sack machines (DET fit that last year), and will score a lot of FF points even if they are not very good NFL defenses. The strong defenses (PIT, BAL, SF, etc.) will still probably garner most of the top picks in drafts.
Woodside Warriors
Teams playing catch up provide greater turnover and pick 6 opportunities. And they have Randall Cobb returning kickoffs and punts which adds some upside. I'm really liking Patriots D as a sleeper. They have an easy schedule and only play 1 game with a premier QB. Sanchez twice, Fitzpatrick twice, Tannehill twice, and a few other games with rookie QB's. Just my opinion though.
MikesVikes
A few years back, the Tampa Bay Bucs had the best defensive team in the NFL. They were also lousy as a fantasy defense. You could argue that the longer that your defense or IDP player can stay on the field, the more likely they will rack up some points for you. Especially in the case of IDP where you earn points for tackles. If you have a three and out defense, you are less likely to get sacks and turnovers. You may score in the points allowed category but that doesn't make a studly FF team.
MikesMarauders
One of the leagues im in I have them low because of the points they give up. I guess it all depends on your scoring system

e5volcano
Yes, Packers led last year in amount of forced turnovers I think (or close) They are so tempting to pick up, but I have both the Texans and 49ers who are tough to drop

But if you still think they're better, and you can add them at little to no cost (free and unlimited roster moves) then go for it. Unless I'm required to I don't usually carry 2 D (or K), would rather leave the roster space for more sleepers.
